1932 Plymouth Other
1932 Plymouth PB 3 window coupe, note; the body has not been cut up or chopped. All of the 32 to 34 have a destructive look of being chopped. I originally picked this car for this reason over purchasing another ford coupe, with the idea of building a gasser or old school hot rod. The car has been driven in its current condition since I never got around to butchering it. To be honest, I am happy I have not cut it up. These bodies and frames seem to be a little stronger than the ford bodies and chassis is what I have told by the old timers.
Yes, there is two body types in 32, PA and the PB, the PA has a taller roof line measuring dimensions similar to the model a Ford and the oval rear window on the five window couples, plus standard doors. The PB like this car, has suicide doors and lower roof line plus smaller windshield.
* The car looks to have been painted a couple of times over the years.* The roof insect was replaced years ago.* Running board rubber is dried out and cracking in places.* Engine, transmission and rear end do have leaking gaskets but are still holding up for the car show event this car attends.* Interior is all through, all gauges are working including gas gauge.* Tires & tubes were replaced years ago and have lots of tread left. Car stills on jacks when not in use to avoid flat spots.* This coupe will run down the interstate, max speed of approx. 50, that’s about all she will do. I do not take the interstate anywhere due to safety concerns of needing to stop quickly.* There does not appear to be any visible rust holes or rot in the car or frame. However, there is light surface rust on the car, I did include pictures of the trunk wheel well area as well as the trunk area too.* Car is still running as a 6 volt, replaced the generator cut out switch back in the summer months of 23. Carb was rebuilt at the same time, it will need a breather assembly to hold a air filter.* note; I have the front bumper and mounting brackets to the car.
Maybe someone will take the car to the next level she deserves, I just have not made the time for this project nor do I see myself between all of the recent life changes my family and I been through.
Good luck to you old girl!!
