1974 De Tomaso Pantera

It took me 4 years to restore this car using original parts. It is a beauty. It has been dormant and unregistered to be driving on the street but insured with Haggerty for a full market value. Hagerty don't grant this insurance without seeing detail recording of the car and the work progress. This car originally from California put in the dusty barn in 1985. Practically devoid of any frame rust. However, few areas sufferer from the short time it was used. Small hole in a passenger door seal, even smaller hole in the driver side rocker panel and another hole in the lower wheel well of the front driver side. All was skillfully cleaned and welded. The car was disassembled, sanded primed and refinished. I examined and assembled each part in my home prior to installation. It has upgraded power ignition and expanded oil pan. 95% of parts came fro PMI, Hall Pantera and Wilkinson - the top most reputable dealers in Pantera Cars business. As an example it took me 4 month to acquire proper flywheel and clutch through PMI since it was made for them by McLeod specifically to the Pantera specs. You have a choice. To buy new rebuilt Pantera like this, or to pay $135,000 for used repainted. This restoration was priced at $60,000. Only body work took 5 people 40 working hours to do it right. The wheel are not painted they are anodized baked using "Gold Candy Wrap" glossy powder. If you are interested to see what this color is actually looks like, Google it. Please be advised: You will not be able to see the car without driver's license for security reasons. The car will be briefly started since it is located in the common garage and we will all chock from fumes and noise.
