1970 Dodge Challenger

1970 Dodge Challenger R/T SE 383, A/T, PS, A/C, AM radio. FK5 Dark Burnt Orange paint w/ NRK4 Burnt Orange Leather & Vinyl Interior, V1X Black Vinyl Roof, V6W white longitudinal side stripe. Original Fender Tag, Build Sheet & titled in my name.
I've owned this car for 25 years, it has been stored inside for 24 of those years and was previously stored inside for at least the prior 5 years. This car came out of NW Oklahoma. Likely 90% of the paint is the original paint on original body, fenders, doors, hood and trunk lid, it also has all of its original glass (windshield is cracked). There is some very minor rust perforation in 2 spots on the floorboards; the A-pillars & roof have small are of perforations. Additionally the center trunk pan is rusted out, and it was cut out and removed. The trunk extensions & drop-offs are good on both sides. I saved the fuel tank straps & floor re-enforcement strips. There are several small hail dents on the hood.
The car comes with original front valance that is damaged, another good straight front valance and a good usable dual exhaust rear valance. Front and rear frame rails and torsion bar cross member are all solid Detroit steel. Besides the previously noted corrosion, additional corrosion is limited to aft of the rear wheels and the trunk lid lip. Where the left front inner fender was welded to the shock tower at the factory, the welds have pulled apart.

I have gathered a few NOS parts that go with the car, in the pictures are NOS chrome exhaust tips, NOS sill plates, NOS negative battery cable, NOS 383 hood call outs. Original grille is in fine shape, and there is a good extra grille that goes with it. The bumper that is wrapped up is an original front that was re-chromed, that I bought 20 years ago.

Not pictured but included, NOS SE roof emblems, new brushed aluminum trim ring for the horn button, 4 good used original wheel trim rings, used front park light, original air cleaner

The only missing pieces are the original engine block, fuel tank, fuel door, front seats (bucket seats that are pictured are from a 74 Challenger), original carburetor, voltage regulator, hood scoop trim inserts, dome light lens & socket and the antenna base & mast.
Short block has been replaced with a 71 383 block and the vehicle does NOT run, It does have the original 1970 date coded 906 heads, original 1970 date coded HP manifolds with heat shields, original 1970 date coded four barrel intake, original 1970 valve covers, all of the correct 1970 big block E-body A/C hoses, bracketry, and A/C compressor, original 402 oil pan. Original alternator and 383 HP distributor, Original radiator, fan shroud, and 7 blade fan. Original 383 HP transmission, driveshaft and all original 8 3/4 rear axle with a 3,23 sure grip.

Car is located in the Wichita Ks Area and available for viewing with an appointment. Free storage for 60 days.
