Description:

1967 Chevrolet Chevelle

Hello SS Chevelle fans worldwide.
Up for auction is one one the rarest and most desirable Chevelle's for 1967. This is a true Code 138 Super Sport L78 Big Block 396, 4 Speed car. The L78 was the top of the line 375 Horsepower. It was limited production for this year, and sources with MCACN say less than 700 were manufactured. As shown in photo's, the data shows it as a Code 817 (Super Sport 2 Door Sport Coupe).
History: The car has literally been off the road since 1979. As you aficionado's will see, the car was manufactured out of the Fremon, California plant. Code BF. Data shows a build date of 11C (Third week of November). After it was purchased, it stayed in Ventura, California for about a dozen years, was then sold to a gentleman in Riverside, California where it stayed until 5 years ago. It technically has only had 3 owners, but as you will see in the photo's, we have the California Title from the original owners. The vehicle has never been in an accident. Although we call this a rust free California car, the passenger side front floor pan was redone due to a leaking heater core. This is something that frequently occurs. Everything was welded and painted like factory.
Restoration: The restoration was started in 2014, but due to bad health, the previous owner had to sell the car. There is close to $20,000 invested in the body and paint alone, and it is flawless. This began as a frame off restoration, the chassis was completely taken apart, powder coated semi flat black, rebuilt, then re-assembled. The paint was sprayed it's original color Code LL - Tahoe Turquoise.
Parts: It is VERY important to note that we have all of the parts for this car. 99% of these parts are restored and/or brand new. All hardware is either Zinc or Cad Plated. Stainless steel trim has been fully polished, Bumpers are rechromed, new Emblems, Grille, Headlight Bezels, Headlight Buckets, Rubber, Weatherstripping, Wheel Well Moldings, Still Plates, Taillights Taillight Bezels, Dash components, etc.
Options: I have never seen so many options on one of these cars, and I have been around factory Muscle Cars for 40 years. They include L78 396, Muncie 4 Speed transmission, Console, 12 Bolt Posi Traction rear, Tach & Gauges, Wood Wheel, Tissue Dispenser, 8 Track, Rear Window Defroster, Power Windows, Power Steering.
L78 Engine: We have everything for the engine - Block, Heads, Exhaust Manifolds, Intake, Carburetor (rebuilt, "Deep Groove" Pulley', Distributor, and all internal components. This is a Factory GM L78 with proper threaded outlet oil pump holes on side of the Block. Engine was a replacement block installed in 1967. It recently went through a professional inspection and machining . Block is bored .030 . It was also magnafluxed and line bored. It has new Cam bearings, Pistons, Connecting Rods, Crankshaft, Bearings, Camshaft, etc. but needs assembly. Original High Performance heads have been magnafluxed and professionally rebuilt.
Interior: This is a factory black bucket seat car. Seat springs are cleaned, and ready for upholstery.
Transmission: Original Muncie 4 speed has been rebuilt.
There you have it, folks. These cars rarely see the light of day, let alone offer up for auction. The car has always been garaged, and all of its parts safely stored in a bedroom. Divorce unfortunately forces the sale of this. We will carefully wrap and place parts inside the vehicle, and in the trunk. There are so many parts for the car that we are unsure if everything would fit inside it for shipping. It might be best to place lighter parts inside of the vehicle, and the heavier mechanical parts either picked up, or shipped. These rare L78 cars sell in upwards of $120,00, but you can invest in this car at a fraction of that investment !
Shipping: We will literally ship the car anywhere in the world. Potential Bidders/Buyers - do not worry about Shipping as we know of two VERY reliable Auto Transport Companies that will pick up and deliver in a prompt and safe manner. Overseas Buyers - we would gladly deliver vehicle to California Shipping in Stanton, California where it would be carefully placed inside a container. Buyer pays for Shipping. Payment due within 3 Business days. All sales are final. Serious buyers do not hesitate to call us day or evening . Vehicle can be viewed in person.
We reserve the right to end auction at any time. Alex 909-437-2068 or Rob at 714-366-5148. Thank you and have a wonderful day.
