1970 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454
1970 Chevrolet Chevelle
This car was brought back to life and ready to go. Previous owner had this car for over 35 years. He restored it in mid 90`s with a lot of good parts the way he wanted it to be. This screams classic hot rod with candy apple red paint, tweed interior, Chrome dressed big block with lots of power. Drag style car with jacked up rear suspension and mag style wheels. This would be a great car to drive as is if you like the old rough around the edges look. It would also be a great starting point for an easy restoration and build it any way YOU want. If you wanted to build a Chevelle just finding a car can cost you 15,000 - 20,000 for a body shell that needs everything and most need rust repair. With this car you get a completely solid California car that does not need body panels or floor patches. Also this car runs! This was originally a 1971 Chevelle SS 4 speed car. It still has the 4 speed floor panel, steering column and pedal. The previous owner bought a new Gen VI 454. he had CNC ported Edelbrock aluminum heads and Isky hydraulic roller cam, intake and Hooker headers installed. It was driven around like this for years. However the engine builder forgot to put the cam retaining plate back in so the cam wore the gear off the back. the car would not run and the owner passed away. I bought this car non running condition. But, now the motor is properly rebuilt and it runs great! The current rebuild has about 100 miles on it. listed is all the parts on this car and there is a big stack of receipt's that go with it.

They are on electric motors so you can open them a little or open them all the way. It really changes the sound of the car dramatically.
The chassis has been upgraded as wellCPP tubular control armsdrag style front springs and 90/10 shocksWilwood front disc brakesJegster rear control arms with 2 inch lift brackets ( can be removed back to stock)Upper adjustable control armsrear air bags on stock coils plus QA1 coil overs on rearCPP hydroboost system. The interior has been mostly restored. It retains the factory SS dash with tach and gauges, they are not hooked up.Now has Autometer gaugesAlpine stereo with Kicker speakers.new headlinernew door panelsnew carpet (slightly faded)recovered back seat with tweedrecovered aftermarket bucket seats with tweed, (stock bucket seat brackets are still there)B+M shifter
The exterior has been painted in candy apple red in 1996. He spent a lot of money on this paint and that was back then. The sides and door jams are still in great condition just chipped and scratched, scraped poles in the parking garage a few times on the passenger side and has some scratches. The trunk, hood and roof are faded and dull. The hood is fiberglass pin on style. I will offer a stock steel bolt on hood if you buy this car. I left the fiberglass hood on because it matches and looks better than a flat black hood. This car needs a repaint. You could paint it any color you want and not have a lot of bodywork to do. All the weatherstripping, windowfelts was replaced and the moldings look great. All the glass is original and in very good condition. The doors open and close nicely with no sagging and and solid thud when closing the doors. The front bumper is a new reproduction. The core support is an original 1970 Big block with tab.
Car has a clean California title and can bee seen in Anaheim Ca. Must be picked up i will not ship. You will have to arrange your own shipping.
