1971 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible Tribute
1971 Plymouth Barracuda
My Cuda started out as a 1970 BS27 Cuda Convertible with a 383 3 speed. The car originated from Arizona and with no rust. The body has the original floor pan, trunk pan, and rear quarter panel fenders. The car has had a full rotisserie done to it. This car is a tribute to the three 1971 Hemi Cuda Convertibles that have a value of 3 million or more dollars. Couldn't afford one of those cars so made this car as a clone to those and more affordable to buy.
1) The engine is a 426 Hemi but has been stroked to make it have 472 cu in. Shaker Hood with the dual quad setup. Carburetors have been nicely tuned to give instant response. Dyno tested close to 550 HP. The engine has less than 500 miles on it because I trailer it to all the car shows that I have gone to.2) Transmission is the 4 speed 18 spline with a Gear Vendor overdrive mounted behind it. Have a switch in center console to engage overdrive for cruising if desired. The rearend is a Strange Dana 60 4:10 gearing with helical differential 35 spline.3) To keep the factory look I have Goodyear white lettered F/60-15 tires mounted on 7" Mopar Rallye rims on the front. For the rear I have Goodyear white lettered L/60-15 tires mounted on custom made 8" Mopar Rallye rims.
4) In keeping to its theme, the car has front disc brakes that were on the trac pac cars with the 440 and Hemi engines.
5) Has leather interior with center console, pistol grip shifter, power top convertible, Rim Blow steering wheel. Also, the most wanted 1971 Rallye Gauge Instrument Panel which I had restored last year. Redone the background, numbers, and recalibrated all the gauges to make them look brand new. Since I had the gauges out of dash, I put in a brand-new wiring harness. All the lights and gauges work like they should.6) In 2020 I took off the stock mufflers, resonators and put on Borla mufflers to give a deeper tone. Also added the electric cutouts to add a little extra noise when going through the gears for my own enjoyment.
Cuda is in excellent condition and have taken great care of it since the fully rotisserie was done. Crazy as it sounds, I have never done a burn out with the car. I can help deliver car to you in an enclosed trailer if needed. Six Four One Eight Nine One One Zero Nine Four
