This 1970 Coronet Super has its fender tag, broadcast sheet (still in the seat springs) and a clear Kansas Antique title. This was an amazing looking car from the factory…the fender tag shows it was ordered with N96 fresh air hood, FC7 plum crazy purple paint, white vinyl top, and white interior, 383 big block engine, and 4 speed manual transmission. The original 383 engine, transmission, and differential are long gone. I bought the car out of the Durango, CO area where it has been for at least the last 25 years. Before that, history is unkown, but there is an old Missouri sticker on the inside of windshield.
The quarter panels need some new skins...I don't think you'd have to buy the full quarter panels that go half way up the rear roof pillar. The rear frame rail ends are solid, but there is a spot on the left rear frame rail about 12” forward of the rear end that is rusty and could be patched (see last picture). The trunk floor and trunk floor drop down extensions all need replaced. The cabin floor pans are fairly solid except for the drivers footwell. You could probably patch the cabin floor pans but I think it’s just easier to replace all the floor pans at one time...especially since AMD makes a one piece forward floor pan. It's just easier and cleaner when done compared to patching. The floor pans under the rear seat are in good condition. The torsion bar crossmember looks pretty solid but it has a spot on the very end (just before it ties into the passenger side rocker) that is soft and could be patched. The rockers are fairly solid except but have rust in the lower rear quarter panels (which you'd replace with quarter panel skins. The top of the passenger side quarter looks like it was dented at one point, just behind the rear roof pilar. A previous owner welded in a small patch that will need redone (see pictures).
Instrument cluster is there but dash and engine wiring is missing. Headlight wiring is present. Clutch/brake/gas pedals are there. The N96 hood is present; the passenger side rear corner is bent up a little but could be straightened (see pictures). The passenger side hood hinge is broken..the spring is in the cabin. It does come with a tail panel that looks pretty decent. All the glass is there. The interior metal upper trim panels (that mount just above the rear cardboard side panels) are there. The rear window stainless trim piece that is missing in the pictures is in the trunk...it would need a little straightening.Hood scoops, radiator, driveshaft, etc are all missing.
The car steers and tires all hold air long enough to roll it/load it.
