Current State:

A restoration that included the vast majority of metal work was started in the mid-1980’s and then the car sat in a garage up until last year. It is a very complete roller that has been lot driven but the brakes require rebuilding, it will need to be winched onto a trailer for transport. The gas tank, sending unit, fuel line, fuel pump, cooling system and ignition were replaced to get it running. There is a coolant leak near the back corner by the #8 cylinder. I have replaced the header studs and one freeze plug but the head may require all new freeze plugs or a new head gasket. The sale includes a spare set of 1968 date coded #906 cylinder heads just in case there is any damage to the original head.

Frame & Body:

Quarter panels were replaced in the 1980’s

Trunk floor and drops were replaced in the 1980’s

Passenger side rocker panel was replaced in the 1980’s

* The rocker panel gaps are not perfect and would need to be redone only if you want a perfect show car

The rear outer fender wells were replaced in the 1980’s before these reproduction panels were readily available.

* This is the only spot on the car where there is fair bit of body filler but it is all hidden behind the quarter panel and wheel.
