Description:

1966 Chevrolet Impala

This auction is for a 1966 Chevrolet Impala Convertible Project. Prior owner had started the restoration but unfortunately was unable to further the stalled project along. We purchased this in a package of vehicles including two 71 Corvette Roadsters, 72 Corvette Roadster, 67 Volkswagen Beetle a 66 Impala SS Convertible Roller and a 68 one owner GTO which is currently on Ebay. With so much going on, along with other projects we have decided to offer it on Ebay. It is definitely a worth while investment car and ready to take to the next level. The body was taken off the frame. Frame was sand blasted and painted chassis black. Almost looks like it was powder coated it is that nice. New body mount bushings installed. Looks to have heavy duty front springs and large diameter stabilizer bar probably for a big block. Started converting the front and rear brakes to disc brakes and we have all the parts including calipers. A 12 bolt positraction rear end was done up and installed. We have new brake lines, some are installed and the rest are still in the bags. The body on the car is real decent. Excellent nose, doors, rockers, etc. Most of the floor pan is original with the exception of a drivers side pan up front and a partial behind it. Trunk pan is newly replaced. You can see where they were welded in but could be ground down to be flush. (2) new rear quarters have been screwed to the body, they need a finish fit and welding. We installed a lot of the parts that were removed to make it easier for shipping. We have a lot of other parts that are in a tote that will be included. Too many items to list so you should call for details. We have a complete set of N.O.S side trim, trunk trim, and rocker moldings brand new in the GM packages. We have all the window regulators but no side glass. The engine is a vintage 1961 283 V-8 that has been in the corner of the garage for the last 4 years. Ran fine when pulled but in the mean time we used a lot of the outside parts. Figured we would just put it in with the car to get it off the floor. Automatic transmission was the one that came with the car. We have all the convertible top rams, lines and motor. An excellent great bones project for the upcoming winter. We also have a complete rolling 1966 Impala Super Sport Convertible. No motor or trans. Was originally a 327 4 Speed Car. Has an area on the flat part of the frame just under the drivers side door that is rusted through. Rest of the frame is solid. Car is fixable or could be used to make this Impala convertible more complete. If you buy the Impala convertible we will give you first refusal on the Super Sport. Also have a 4 Speed console with shifter and a 66 Impala Super Sport automatic floor console with shifter that we would negotiate on. Just give us a call, we are not hard to deal with. We have the last Maine registration and all proper paperwork should you need a title in your state. Also have a registration for the Impala SS convertible. If you need anymore info or pics feel free to email or call us at 1(207)432-2862. We reserve the right to end the auction early as we have had some local interest. If you need time for a shipper we will store the car here as long as it is paid for in advance. We require $1000 non refundable deposit at auctions end and balance due (3) days there after. Thanks Bob.

Have had a few Ebayers asking about the Impala SS Convertible that would be additional to this car. If you dont want to ship a second car we would be willing to remove what parts you want and deal with the rest as long as we can agree on a price. There is interest in the glass, moldings, tags and registration. Just give us a call and we can discuss it.
