The original Luke Motors key chain and license plate frame are also included with the sale. This 442 was discovered by Thornton Muscle Cars located in Quakertown, Pennsylvania. Thornton Muscle Cars is a family owned business that has an excellent reputation for doing outstanding restorations on Oldsmobile 442s. With a professional staff of only 4 people they're only able to restore a few cars per year. They are considered the experts in the world of Oldsmobile 442s. They've set many Oldsmobile 442 records at Barrett Jackson. Prior to the restoration this car was a 57,000 mile survivor. It was the perfect candidate for a restoration because it was rust free and retained it's original drivetrain. During the restoration process the body was taken off the frame and stripped to bare metal. The body retains all the original sheet metal with exception of the two front fenders and passenger door which were replaced with original GM sheet metal. During the restoration the decision was made to paint the exterior Matador Red with white stripes but not paint the top white. The decision was also made to add the pearl white trim to the black interior. The decision was also made to add the following options: W25 Ram Air Hood, sport mirors, SSII wheels, bucket seats, sport steering wheel, dual gate console and psi rear axle. All of these changes greatlt improve the vehicles character making it highly desirable. The restoration was completed in 2020 and currently has just over 57,000 miles. This 442 is like stepping back in time and buying it brand new. The undercarriage is also very correct and highly detailes throughout. The underside of the body was finished in the correct finish including the red body color, grey and the black textured paint around the transmission area. It also has the correct factory paint marks, tags and stickers throughout. Everything was restored or replaced including the fuel tank, power steering system, power braking system and the suspension system. Please call with any questions regarding this unbelievable 442!!!
