Sold new to a physician on arrival that loved and cherished this 1974 Targa until his passing at 95 years old, the only owner for all those years. Production for 1974 Targas delivered to the United States numbered under 265 cars, you can do the math as to how rare that makes this one. Original throughout, paint still meters original on many panels, One Owner, only 37,564 miles ! Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, came from the Factory with Hood “Safety Stripes” as they were referred to in the 70’s, Porsche called this special order item “Ornamental Painting” along with Factory Porsche script on doors. Stunning car in Silver with Black Stripes and Midnight Interior. They are only original once ! “Heckblende” is the reflective rear panel that connects the taillights. In 1974, Porsche first incorporated this exterior feature into the 911. However, its use became a widespread phenomenon with most manufacturers throughout the ‘80s and ‘90s.
