Description:

1965 Porsche 912

This July 1965 912 is one of original "painted dash," models. It was Irish Green when it was delivered in Germany, probably for the American Tourist program. It is a five gauge car. It, indeed, has a 1965 912 engine whose condition is unknown. The engine number is pictured. The transmission number is also pictured. It suffered a fender bender in about 1970, and therefore the the fender and bumper are not original to the car, but are original period parts in Aubergine. The car was stored inside since, then, and some primer was applied by the previous owner. The interior seats boasts rare corduroy inserts. The car will need a door replaced and some other metal reconstruction work, but the floors are surprisingly solid. The trunk gas tank support may need a patch or replacement, as well as battery shelf. All in all, this is a great car for total restoration which will prove to be a wise investment, being the first year of production which total less than 1500 cars, some sources. The windscreen came from another car, hence the 1996 window sticker. The tires are old and cannot be used for driving.$1000 deposit due via zelle at auction end. Balance due within 3 days. bank wire preferred. Payment fees are responsibility of buyer. No fee for certified check or zelle or personal check. Car doesn't leave until payment clears. If your transporter cannot get up my driveway, I will ferry to a parking lot for $100. I can also outfit the car with good tires for a fee. Car must be picked up within 3 weeks of auction end or storage fees will accrue of $30/day thereafter and must be paid before car leaves. Title can be mailed ahead of the car at buyer expense or I can put in the car.
