1929 Pontiac Oakland Full of Prewar goodies as Packard or Caddy
Up for sale we have a rare antique car - Beautifully Restored 1929 Oakland. The Oakland Car Company was a United States based automobile manufacturer of the Oakland automobile from 1907 to 1932. Edward M. Murphy ran the Oakland Buggy Company in Pontiac - Michigan, and founded Oakland Motor Car on August 28 - 1907. General Motors acquired 50% interest in the company on January 20 - 1909. Following Murphy's death that September, General Motors took full control of Oakland in 1910. General Motors continued marketing cars under the Oakland brand name until 1932, when G.M.'s Oakland division was incorporated into Pontiac.This particular 1929 Oakland for sale here was totally restored, new everything, restoration job was completed in 2006 and the total cost was around $ 47,000 - plus hundreds of hours of passionate work, rebuilt engine, new paint and new interior, new seats, new carpet, door panels and new headliner, white wall tires, new glass, re-chromed radiator grill, body molding, bumpers, headlights, cowl lamps, mirrors along with other chrome parts around the vehicle - interior and exterior, paint is super nice and super shiny, inline 6 Cylinder engine, very clean engine compartment, solid steel body, no rust bubbles, very clean underneath and no rust at all, suicide rear doors and spacious interior, vintage Arvin heater installed on front passenger side and another big heater installed on the floor - rear passenger compartment, this Oakland automobile is much bigger than a Ford Model A sedan, luxurious appearance too, full of prewar goodies like a Packard ! Dual Spare tire mounts, antique style mirrors mounted with leather straps on both spare tires, big and solid running boards, beautiful rear chest trunk painted the same black as the rest of the body and a lot more to be mentioned..... Runs and drives, as you can see the video in this listing, engine is running fine but because the car was parked for the last years and not regularly driven will need an engine tuneup along with a carburetor adjustment/rebuilt. The second issue that we noticed, water pump is leaking coolant, water pump will need to be fixed/replaced, other than that, new whitewall tires, good working brakes, transmission shifting good.... invested close to 50K in order to restore it as nice as it is, here is your chance to have it for 25K .....Car comes with some literature, repair parts list manual and a photo album including pictures with the restoration process.
