1992 Mazda RX7 Efini RE-Ameyiya
Arguably one of if not the most unique Rx7 on the market today is now available. This Japanese built and imported FD3S is finished in rare competition yellow mica with black interior. The car has an aggressive look mainly due to the RE Amemiya body kit which includes the front bumper front fenders side skirts and flared out rear arches. In addition a vented lightweight hood has been added as well as Ganador side mirrors. RE Amemiya Car Co Ltd is an automotive tuning company from Tomisato, Chiba Prefecture, Japan founded by Isami Amemiya. Amemiya has made a name for himself tuning rotary engines since 1974 and has become a pioneer in tuning rotary-powered Mazdas. Stance of the car is achieved by multi way adjustable Ohlins Coil overs. Car has just been aligned and suspension dialed in. The 3 piece Work Meister S1 wheels are 18 inch staggered with like new tires on all 4 corners. Pop up head lights go up and down evenly and are fitted with HID head lamps.
Interior has been modified with driver focus in mind. The factory seat belts are still in place however there is 2 5 point harnesses that can also be used if needed. A 6 point bolt in roll bar has been installed and insulated with soft black padding. When you sit in the driver seat you greeted by the original gauges in the center cluster which are all fully functional and work as they should. Factory wheel has been upgraded to a slightly smaller Nardi steering wheel with functional horn. A carbon Mazda speed shift knob has been installed replacing the OEM factory shift knob. A Greddy boost controller is center mounted on the steering rack. On the dashboard there is one Defi boost gauge which has been carefully mounted with double sided tape mount to avoid any drilling of any holes. A full Air Conditioning system overhaul was just performed for $3,500 with all new components and functions ice cold and flawlessly. In the glove box custom mounted gauges include Defi water temp/ Defi fuel pressure / Defi oil temp / Defi ext temp. A battery relocation to the hatch area has been done for 50/50 weight distribution. The factory spare wheel is present along with all the factory tools in the side cabinets of the rear deck.
Pop open the vented lightweight hood and immediately see the beautiful engine. First thing you notice is the massive trust T78-33D Single turbo. This turbo is capable of over 700 Horsepower. Currently boost is set on the boost controller to 0.6 Bar. Both strut towers look immaculate there is a strut bar across the top of the engine for added chassis stability. Engine bay also features HPI radiator with dual electric fans, Greddy intake, Trust charge pipe, Oil catch can and oversized oil cooler. The car runs fantastic. It is currently tuned to run on pump gas and recommended to use pre mix as well as octane booster. Tune is on a apex power fc commander which is mounted on the dashboard. A brand new limited slip differential was just installed with receipts. The car currently needs nothing. It is an absolute beast to drive. Engine pulls strong through each gear and engages smoothly with no issue. The Ohlins coil overS and accompanying sway bars allow this car to handle turns like its on rails. This is definitely the whole package and a grade A rotary Rx7 experience.
Underneath the car there is no rust. There is no leaks coming from anywhere. Floor and chassis of the car is a straight as we have seen. Detailed photos of the suspension and undercarriage are posted below…
