1961 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II Long-wheelbase Saloon

Chassis number LLCB96, body LCT181 with engine number LC95B coachbuilt by Mulliner Park Ward was sold new to Jack Krause of Mansfield, Ohio according to the original Rolls-Royce documents which accompany the car. It was then sold to a Mr. Monte Tate of Lansing, Michigan in 1969 and then subsequently passed to Arthur Schultz of Birmingham, Michigan.
It is obvious from the condition today that early ownership cared for the car well. While some ownership history is now known, the build of it is.
While the car is not a show worthey example, it is a well preserved original car with one very early repaint in its original color of Sage Green. The paint is indicative of a lacquer paint which was normal for the era, showing age like any car in original laqueur would. It is a nice preservation car ready to be driven and enjoyed.
We pulled the car from a large collection of Rolls-Royce motorcars where it had been on static display for a few years. It had all of the needs of a car that had not run in six years and we set out to make it roadworthy and safe. We flushed the fuel system, checked all of the electricals, tuned it up and put new fluids in it as well as performed a comprehensive service to the brakes.
The work was done over the period of nearly six months being completed just a few weeks ago with the primary focus on mechanical needs while maintaining the preservation looks of the car. The car has been road tested and driven several miles and at this point is a smooth running and driving car.
The car is rust free and displays the evidence of a carefully cared for car. It is not a show car and has imperfections throughout the paint. It is one of 299 LWB examples built.
The exterior is decent quality. The paint has checks and age cracks throughout. The chrome and trim are driver quality as well. All of the glass is excellent and the window lifts have all been inspected and serviced. The interior is original and shows some wear and use. The headliner is in excellent condition and overall the seats are also good. The wood is nicely preserved original and the carpeting is showing some mild wear.
Under the hood is a nicely tuned engine that presents and runs very well. The car has air conditioning coupled with 'sundym' glass according to the Rolls-Royce build documentsthat come with the car. It has a host of other amenities according to the original build sheet as well.
The car is located in Santa Paula, California and is available for inspections and drives. I have a reasonable buy it now set. Please feel free to call me at 860-883-3998 with any questions or if you wish to see the car in person. Thank you for looking.
