This 1971 Plymouth 'Cuda 440-6 is the epitome of investment-grade Mopar muscle! Not only does this gorgeous 71 'Cuda retain all of its original sheet-metal, and it’s all numbers-matching driveline, but it is also extensively documented w/ the original broadcast sheet, original window sticker, original dealership sales invoice, original consumer information sheet, original warranty booklet, original registration, original timing slips from the local drag strip in 1971, and more!
Finished in its original shade of (GB5) Blue wrapped around a beautiful (SRX9) Black Leather interior, this perfect 1971 Plymouth 'Cuda 440-6 was built on January 12, 1971 and sold new on February 1st, 1971 @ East End Motor Company to its first owner, Mrs. Angelina Kearney of Vineland, New Jersey. Mrs. Kearney didn't simply pick her car off of the lot, but instead she special ordered her new 1971 'Cuda w/ all of the go-fast goodies, including the legendary 440ci/390hp V-Code motor, 727 Torqueflite Transmission, A34 Super Track Pak (4.10 gears), N96 Shaker Hood, Power Steering, Black Leather Bucket Seats, Rallye Instrument Cluster, Light Group, and Center Console.
The nut & bolt rotisserie restoration was completed in 2011 using only original and/or N.O.S. parts, w/ a strict adherence to replicating factory fit, finish, and markings. The black billboard stripes were added during the restoration, which look excellent on this car. A visual inspection was done by Galen Govier on January 23rd of 2011, confirming that the primary & secondary body codes are present, and that the engine VIN stamp, and transmission VIN stamp are 100% original. Galen's report further remarks that the VIN decal on the driver's door, the window sticker, and the build sheet are all original as well. She has less than 100 miles since the rotisserie restoration, and has been kept in a climate-controlled environment ever since, as is usually the case w/ investment grade cars of this stature. She now sits on our showroom floor here in St. George, Utah, and is in exceptional condition throughout! The B5 Blue paint is absolutely beautiful w/ a brilliant shine throughout, and all of the chrome and stainless-steel trim is in show quality condition. She sits on original 15” Rallye wheels, wrapped w/ factory correct Goodyear Polyglas GT E60-15 tires. You can walk around this car a hundred times and it never gets old. She is simply a stunner!
When you open the driver’s door, you will find a perfect and 100% factory-correct black leather interior, that looks just like it did back in 1971. Other interior features include: premium black leather bucket seats, woodgrain Rallye instrument cluster, premium woodgrain steering wheel, woodgrain center console w/ the Slap Stick automatic shifter, remote driver mirror, black lap & shoulder harness seat belts, black leather rear bench seat, and fresh black carpeting from front to back. It is such an amazing feeling sitting behind the wheel of a ’71 ‘Cuda looking out over that long hood w/ the Shaker sitting dead center. It really doesn’t get much better, does it? The trunk area was completely restored w/ the correct trunk mat, correct space-saver spare tire, and the correct jack assembly.
Now, let’s get to the heart of this beast, shall we?
Pop-open the hood, and residing inside the beautifully detailed engine bay is the original #’s matching 440 Six Pack V-Code motor, lathered in Hemi orange paint, and topped w/ the original N96 Shaker Hood, which covers the original Holley carburetors. For serious buyers, I have photos of the original Holley carburetors w/ the Shaker removed, so that you can see how spotless everything is underneath. The motor is linked to the original #’s matching 727 Torqueflite transmission, which feeds power to the original asphalt-shredding 4.10 Super Track Pack rear end. She fires up, settling into a nice smooth idle, and she runs, drives and performs beautifully in every way.
This ’71 ‘Cuda is for the serious collector who simply wants the ‘best of the best’ for their high-end classic car collection. As previously mentioned, the original documentation is quite extensive, including the original broadcast sheet (build sheet), original window sticker, original dealership sales invoice, original consumer information sheet, original warranty booklet, original registration, and the original timing slips by the original owner in 1971.
