1963 Ranchero Falcon Chopped Top.
This is a great driving, easy on fuel, nice running 5 cylinder Mercedes turbo diesel with a 4 speed automatic transmission.
Front disc brakes help it stop better than factory drum brakes. Front disc brakes are a complete kit with parts breakdown & instructions included. It has Electric Power Steering, steers easy as soon as the key is turned on. It retains the stock suspension with the exception of 1965 Mustang V8 front coil springs.
It starts, runs & drives like it should, complete drive line from radiator to the driveshaft was removed from a nice running 60,000 mile 1985 Mercedes 300 TD, 5 cylinder turbo diesel with automatic transmission. Engine is a 3.0 liter, 5 cyl, 143 hp, 197 ft lbs torque. has new updated fuel injectors.
It has an 8 inch Mustang rear end with 2.79 gear ratio. 5 lug vintage 14 inch Torq Thrust wheels.
The chopped top uses a 1964 Falcon 2 door hardtop windshield so it's not a special windshield. Same as 1963 Falcon Sprint. Side & back windows are tinted glass, light tint that is legal in all states, not stick on tint. Top is about 2 1/2 inches lower than stock, like a Falcon Sprint. Paint is Wimbledon White, tear drop hood is fiberglass, bumpers rechromed,. The exterior paint is about 10 years old & still shows very well, this is an indoor car & isn't exposed to weather.
Interior has been replaced with new headliner, carpet, seat cover, door panels & seals, etc & is in good condition. Gauges work as they should & speedometer mph is accurate. Battery is located in a vented box behind the passenger seat with an On/Off switch. It uses the stock fuel tank in the original & location & fuel filler.
The subframe, frame rails, rear spring supports & spring perches are solid & in good condition. Drivers floor has been repaired before i purchased it many years ago.
This has been my ‘run around’ truck for years as well as a real attention drawer at car shows. It is running in all the pictures.

It comes with an open Original Texas Title 1996. I also have the original steel hood that can be included.
