Split bumper, front and rear spoilers, a big hood scoop, and a killer paint color really make this 1970 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 restomod a real head turner!
Pull the hood pins and lift the hood to reveal the star of the show! A fully chromed out and build 350 CID V8 is topped with dual Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetors that are sure to raise some eyebrows. That engine has a mild cam, full-length headers running to an H-pipe, mufflers, and rectangular tips that exit before the big meaty rear tires. Chrome is everywhere you look including the brackets, pullies, water pump, valve covers, air cleaners, master cylinder cap, fan shroud, radiator cover, fender braces, power steering pump, and oil breather. Braided fuel lines compliment all that chrome nicely. That powerhouse is bolted to a Turbo 400 automatic that shifts through a Hurst performance shifter on the custom center console.
The interior is custom and cool with stock black bucket seats around a custom built and painted to match center console. SunPro white faced gauges to keep an eye on the engine, and tilt steering column. A custom roll cage has been installed, but has drop downs to make sliding in and out a breeze. The tub job was done very well and is also nicely painted in the same Burnt Orange Metallic.
If you get a chance to look under the car, you will see some real money was spent on the rear end. It is a custom Ford 9", painted to match of course, with an adjustable 4-link setup, and adjustable coil over shocks. That helps the 33x19.50x15LT Mickey Thompson tires put that power to the ground without missing a beat! 26x7.50x15LT tires in the front complete the bigs and littles look.
Inside the trunk is a fuel cell between the extended roll cage bars, and the nicely routed wiring to the battery kill switch. While this car looks like it will run a 10-second quarter mile, it is very streetable with that mildly built Chevy small block, power steering, and power front disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors. Stock bucket seats, great shifter position, and tilt steering column make the interior comfortable as well. This is a car you can drive to the local shows, and no one will dare rev at you at stoplights on the way home!
