Description:

1968 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon

Electric 1968 Volkswagen doubled door panel bus. This bus was built in 2012 by Leif’s autobody and collision in Portland Oregon. No expense was spared on this bus, andthe work was top notch. And it is a desirable bus to start with. This bus turnsheads and makes smiles every where it goes. Drives and rides great, withWagenswest suspension and brakes. The paint is high end with a wild muraldepicting a bearded man, just killing it, doing board sports in the PNW. Has apainting of both Seattle and Portland, showing what they looked like before theygot pooped on. The interior is crazy cool with custom leather and a bumpingstereo system. Also it has solar panels that come out of the roof and power theaccessories. Porsche pattern Wagenswest 4 piston disc brakes on all 4 cornersand chrome 17’’ Porsche Fuch wheels. There are two things that will needattention. Number 1 is the front door windows, 1 piece windows were the goalbut it didn’t happen. So the bus has no front door glass or mechanisms. Thebattery needs replaced, it has no range and needs replaced before driving andthat would be, and should be custom made.

Very cool collectable bus that could without much trouble beput back to gas if desired.

Has an AC50 MOTOR 100 HP and a Curtis controller

Remember

It needs a new battery

It needs front door windows and mechanisms

It might need a rear wheel bearing.

Thanks for looking

There are so many things on this bus, that are over the top. One is the front axle, it is the best axle that VW ever produced for a bus. Its from a 1964-67 with needle bearing trailing arms, bigger king pins ect. Basically its a 3/4 ton link pin axle. These are desirable and especially handy in the 1968-70 buses because they give you more ground clearance and a + it will lower the bus by another inch. Fun Fact, this same type axle was used in Brazilian bay window VW buses, into the late 1990's.
