You are looking at a very desirable 1967 VW Bug, This is one amazing car!!!! Let me start by saying I have had a lifelong love affair with Bugs, I am 69 yrs. young and have built many many VW's . I have NEVER driven one like this!!!!! it truly is one of a kind. This Bug will rock your world! I purchased it from a 76 yr. old gentleman here in Santa Barbara, like me he has had a life long love affair with these German wonders. He told me he wanted to build one more before he became too old. I have well over $31,000 worth of receipts for the build out. Let me start with the motor which only has 2615 miles since built, the odometer was zeroed out after the restoration which was a pan off . First it has an AS41 engine block after market, open for full flow, case opened for 82 x 92 counterweighted stroker 78 mm crankshaft, stroker I-beam rods, stroker 92 mm piston, 130 Engle camshaf, new lifters, heavy duty Mellimg oil pump, heavy duty gold scat push rod tubes, heavy duty chronology gland nut, Bosch plugs. 044 cylinder heads/ ported . Dual 44 Webers, solid rocker shafts, thermostatic fan oil cooler, thermostatic fan switch, A & N fittings. No leaks! All new rubber and seals. Freeway Flyer Transmission, rebuilt! Vintage speed stainless steel super flow muffler, KYB shocks, custom suspension it handles like a Porsche ! 4 wheel disk brakes. 2180 cc. motor! newish interior that is excellent! new after market super comfortable seats, new carpets, new headliner, custom tach, lock out shifter, close ratio. 3m window tint. new BF Goodrich TA radials.. Car shows no signs of ever being hit, front or rear. Custom suspension dropped in the front for that perfect look. Theres more that I'm forgettin, but all in all this is a super stellar Bu, very fast, no leaks! the car is, in a word AWESOM! There are a few cosmetic issues, some clear coat issues but actually it has a great looking patina to it.. some rust bubbles under the paint and some past repairs that could use a little attention again if you want perfection, I have pictured these flaws. From ten feet this car looks fantastic! thumbs up every time I take it out. The pans are perfect with zero rust, I think the bubbles under the paint are because the past owner lived very close to the beach, the chrome was sparred and still shines bright, some top rust on the wheels. I'm 100% sure the next owner will love this car, it rocks!!!!! The radio is not working, everything else is fine.
