1965 Ford Mustang Convertible

Vehicle Original VIN : 5F08C757481
Most people want a 1965 Mustang convertible because it's the first view of the icon with a terrific drop-top appeal. But this one is proving to be irresistible more for its upgrades than its history. With its BluePrint stroker V8, the control of a five-speed, four-wheel disc brakes, and other driver-orient upgrades, this is about bringing some serious added muscle to the legendary style.

We love the impression this one makes. The green is in line with some of the light colors like 1965's Honey Gold and Dynasty Green, and so it looks like a pleasant pony car classic. And then you start to notice that this one likely has a ton more gallop. The shining Cragar SS wheels can't help but draw attention to the extra wide rear tires and intimidating forward-leaning stance. Big dual exhaust tips and visible traction bars also add to this attitude. If you were looking for perfection, then you'd likely do some work on the panels, the top's rear window, or a few other details. But we doubt that's your aim with this one. Instead, the driver-quality and driver-ready style is just part of why you love braking in fresh asphalt with this power pony. And the clean look of the glass, weather stripping, grille trim, and chrome bumpers make sure this one looks good even if you're just parking at a cruise-in.

The top powers down to reveal a rather nice interior. This is a driver-oriented Mustang, and so they made solid investments around you. It starts with a newer set of well-contoured bucket seats by Procar. You also have a wood-rimmed sports steering wheel, GT-style gauges, and a digital tach that has a similar green glow as the exterior color. And have you counted the gears on the shifter yet? While this is upgraded to be a power car you'll also just be impressed with the vintage details. You have deluxe door panels with working courtesy lights, a full center console, plenty of wood-like trim, and even the AM radio still works!

The engine bay is where this one really earns its speedy style. You're looking at a 347 cubic-inch stroker V8 made by the power masters at BluePrint. We're even told the fresh look is because there's only about 2k miles on this motor. It's built for power with aluminum heads, a Holley four-barrel carburetor, and headers feeding the dual exhaust There are also terrific supporting components, like an Edelbrock water pump, a BeCool aluminum radiator, an electric fan, and Milodon oil pan. It's a terrific power package, and you get to take full control over it with the upgraded five-speed manual transmission that was installed about the same time as the motor. A car like this is fun because it wants you to feel the road, and it also wants you to do it with confidence. So you have features like a rear sway bar, traction bars, and four-wheel disc brakes.

Complete with a BluePrint dyno sheet, this is an awesome power pony that knows how to be a ton of fun. So when you want to really enjoy an icon, call today!
