1972 Corvette Coupe, original 350 motor--solid project car

Price: US $9,250.00 Item location: Waterford, Wisconsin, United States
Description:

1972 Chevrolet Corvette

This is a good, solid 1972 Corvette that came from the factory red with the black vinyl interior. It has Title and tele steering, power steering, power brakes, and air conditioning as options. (Also the dealer-installed luggage rack). It has the original motor, heads, turbo 400, etc. It has a solid frame and birdcage (see photos).
Previous owner bought the car in 1999, drove it 16 miles, started stripping the paint, and let the car sit from that point forward. The motor turns free and easy and you can see how clean the motor is with the one cylinder head picture.
The engine compartment contains the original upper fan shroud, 7-blade ac fan, exhaust manifolds, etc.
The interior is pretty decent other than the carpet. The windshield was replaced in August, 1974--the rest of the glass is original.
The chrome is not pretty, but is very solid and straight. I procured the front bumper for it--it was one of the parts lost, by the p. o., in addition to the mechanism for the wiper door. The wiper grille, door, trim and trim ends are there. I am working on acquiring the mechanism, but can't guarantee I will have one.
The air conditioning equipment is there, including the ductwork under the dash that is usually missing.
The gauges are all the originals, including the radio.
As you can see, someone along the way located the headlights in the grille. The headlight mechanisms are missing, and the holes are glassed in. There is a picture that shows there is minor damage behind the right rear bumper.
As you can see from the pictures, it was originally red, then dark blue, then a dark silver-charcoal color.
All 5 15X8 AZ code wheels are on the car, with centers and trim rings. The tires are all pre-1999 and hold air very well. (The spare tire carrier is there and houses the spare tire and wheel.)
The tilt and telescopic column tilts and telescopes as it should, but the key is stuck in the lock. It turns, but not back to lock.
The original selling dealer was Tag Galyean Chevrolet, Charleston, West Virginia. I have the names of the two owners prior to me.
I am selling because just as I was getting ready to dive into this one, and an 71 LT-1 became available. The 71 is not for sale.
Feel free to ask questions. I am a little flexible on the price, but this is an original red metal-bumper 72 with the original motor, etc.
I will work with you on the shipping, but it is your responsibility.
Hopefully, this is thorough enough to give you a good picture of what this is.
Payment needs to be cash or wire transfer. The car and title will not be released until payment is done. Thanks for understanding---I am an honest person, and prefer to deal with honest people.
