1987 Buick Grand National

Vehicle Details

Unfortunately I have to sell my 87 Buick Grand National.  I’ve owned this car since 2002 & I had the RPO sticker in the trunk signed by Molly Sanders (the father of the Grand National) that year at an event at Kirban Performance.  He’s unfortunately no longer with us.  It’s been garaged the entire time I’ve owned it.  The engine is almost completely stock.  It has a Kenne-Bell 1-piece front air dam, the air distribution plate under the intake, a K&N filter & Pypes cat-back exhaust.  Mechanically the car is great- runs, shifts & brakes fine.  I did convert it to vacuum brakes but I do have the power master unit & the other factory original parts (air intake, front bumper deflectors, etc).  The only thing I’m aware of not working is the rear defrost & AC.  I wasn’t motivated to fix the rear def because I didn’t drive it in ugly weather.  The AC likely needs to be recharged.  I converted it to R-143a & replaced the compressor a few years ago.  The adapter fitting likely have a slow leak.  I’ve had that happen on a few other conversions I’ve done.  It does need a paint job.  From a few feet away it can still look decent but it needs paint.  I was going to pull the motor to give it fresh gaskets & detail it, then paint the car but some things have come up & I have to sell my baby.  This is a great GN to restore or drive it as is.  It’s in great shape with no rust on the body & the drivetrain was never abused.  I never raced it & I don’t believe the guy I bought it from in 2002 did either.  Plus, that signature on the RPO sticker can’t be obtained anymore.  Happy bidding but please don’t bid if you can’t pay.
