Description:
1947 Ford Station Wagon Super Deluxe
1947 Ford Woody Station Wagon in remarkable condition for it's age. I believe it has its original engine and transmission, it runs great. The water pumps and engine mounts have been replaced recently and the carburetor and fuel pump. I have driven it over five hundred miles in the last month. The odometer as of today reads 11,045, the title is an Arizona title showing box A for mileage and the Woody appearance would have me believe it is factual. The man i purchased the Wagon from owned it for many years only driving it about 100 miles. It runs cool with the addition of dual exhaust. The gauge reads near the H mark but I bought a hand held temperature gun and it shows 175 on each head at the front and rear of the head. All of the body wood appears to be original. The Wagon has been re-painted the original color would have been dark green as the firewall is that color. The Firestone wide whitewall tire are very new and I washed off the blue coloring when I bought it. The spare tire made by The Lester tire Co. still has the tits on it but appears to be a very old tire. All but a couple of the side glass still bears the Ford logo. One of the rear doors glass is cracked and I have a new piece for it. The interion wood is in very exceptional condition while the outside is in need of being re-varnished, the very bottom of the driver door paneling on the outside of the Wagon has de-laminated, see photos. I see no rotted wood on the main body. I have the third seat and it has been re-upholstered while the front two have not. The original jack is in the cubby hole under the second seat. I also have the front bumper guard, it is not on the car because I removed it so it would fit in my garage. The gas gauge does not work, the radio is not permanently installed, I do not have the two rods that hold it in place, The radio is a wonderbar. Check out the accessary sun visor on the pass. side visor. The dash lights do not work. The light in the glove box does work as well as the map light when the front doors are opened. Head light and tail lights and turn signals work, and the fog lamp, original equipment. A 2000.00 deposit is required within 24 hrs. of close of auction.
