1969 Ford Mustang

Ford Mustang MACH 1 428 (R Code build clone).

Selling one 1969, Ford Mustang Mach1(02 fastback code). This car is an original 2 owner car with 16k original miles, title is box A 16840. Originally the car was born H code with a 351Windsor, but was built as an R code clone with the 428ci FE motor and C6 auto transmission.

Starting with the mechanical items,this list shows all new components.

Brakes: Fully rebuild brake system with front disc brakes and rear drum brakes. All brake components are new, from the master cylinder and brake hard lines to the front disc brake and rear drum brake components. (manual brakes, no power assist )

Suspension: All suspension components have been replaced or rebuilt, including new 650lbs front big block springs and performance Shelby 5 leaf pack rear springs both having a 1 inch lowering rate,and new KYB shocks. The front lower control arms have been boxed for additional support, as well as all other suspension arms and bushings being new.

(sway bar bushings, torque rod bushings,leaf spring bushings, upper control arms, etc.) The steering system has new inner and outer tie rods as well as a refurbished gear box. (manual steering,no power assist)

Engine/Transmission: 1968 FE 428 with matching C6 in perfect order both performing as they should. The engine was rebuilt stock, with no performance upgrades other than a nice set of long tube headers, as it already has enough torque and horse power, capable of leaving rubber in any gear through the posi rear end. ( photos of the crankshaft available to show the 1U part # for the 428 motor )

Cooling system: New 3 core performance radiator with all new hoses and associated cooling components which keeps that big block cool.

Body: External lower body, engine bay, underside, floors, were all cleaned, sande, primed and painted, very minor metal corrosion was repaired, we have before and after photos of every area touched.

Chassis: Front shock towers built to R code (big block) specs, with rap around shock tower reinforcement, and additional structural bracing for added chassis support.

The interior: has been freshened up with new carpet, clean condition seats, headliner with no rips or tears, etc.and have not been fully restored but in nice driver condition. Also vehicle has the deluxe wood grain interior option, panels are all in good condition.

Many other parts not listed have been replaced as well such as a new battery, alternator, some wiring, starter solenoid, drive-train mounts, drive shaft special fab with balance, fuel tank/ sending unit, all hoses, fuel pump, water, pump, engine sensors, etc.

The hard stuff is done, mechanically speaking with every nut and bolt removed and items cleaned and or replaced, as needed. What is left to do is body and paint.

Fenders: good use-able condition with proper prep

Hood: good use-able condition with proper prep

Roof: use-able condition with proper prep

Doors: Mounted Doors have corrosion in lower corners but OEM doors are available with this sell if interested.

Rear quarters: both sides have lower corrosion, that could be repaired with patch panel or a full quarter replacement

Rear light panel: has minor corrosion on one side that is repairable or replace the entire panel

Rear quarter extension: driver side good, passenger side could be replaced.

Frame rails, floors, torque boxes: –no work required, near perfect condition no rust or corrosion

This car can be driven as is or do a complete body an paint to your desired colors.

Inspections are welcomed and encouraged. We are about 15 miles from the local airport, for out of state person. We will accommodate as needed by any potential buyer.
