Description

Here for sale is a 1959 or 1960 NSU Prinz mircocar made in Neckarsulm, Germany. It has NO TITLE......just a Bill of Sale. Titles can be obtained by many online companies, or go thru your local motor vehicle office. This car is in rough shape but pretty rare in the USA. It has an early 1959 or 1960 FIAT engine so NOT CORRECT for car. Engine is marked FIAT 110.000 151398. I think they were 479 cc twin cylinder w/ around 15 to 16 hp. They used them in the Nuova 500 and Jolly models. It is missing the 4 speed transmission. Wheelbase is 78 3/4" (6 1/2 feet) and car weighed 1106 lbs. ID tag in front on firewall reads TYPE 40 PRINZ 40-20408 and 840 kg 420 kg.
The car needs floor pans, they look fairly simple to fabricate w/ flat panels. All seat springs intact and in good shape. There are rust holes in rockers also but they are simple in nature. The turn signal lever is missing. The passenger slider window is broke out but has the steel chrome knobs intact. Windshield has a big hole in it (see tape). No rear window but I found both of them on Ebay. There are some bends in the side trim and a few small dents in body but not bad.
The front hood hinges are both broken and are pot metal. Hood has some tears on edge that need welded and body worked. The rear PRINZ emblem is broken. The doors both open fine w/ all handles and latches. I have 4 brand new 12" tires w/ tubes to make it a roller.
No rust out in front trunk area, just surface rust. Gas tank looks real clean. No rust thru in rear engine area. I have no idea if you can adapt the FIAT engine to this car or not? Maybe someone can use it in a Fiat 500 or Jolly restoration. Engine is stuck. I am including a huge pallet of parts. It looks like original engine surround tin and maybe a head for the NSU engine. Starter and other parts including a bell housing, coil, air filter bottom and shifter included in sale. You can re-sell these parts or use them on the restoration...up to you. I don't have the time to part it out. I also have the PRINZ horn button and plastic radio block off plate.
Car is in Encampment, Wyoming 82325 (just 40 mins south of I 80 near Rawlins and 4 hrs nw of Denver Col). You can pick up here or hire a transporter. Semi trucks can get to my driveway no problem. I will not accept Paypal.....only a Bank Wire Transfer which is totally safe. I can maybe deliver if not too far away....so email me thru ebay for info. Thanks for looking. Remember NO TITLE on car but I had to check Salvage on Ebay......it has no title. Shipping is NOT CORRECT on Ebay...I had to put something.
