This Mark IV Roadster emulates a 1965 AC Cobra. The car is finished in red with twin silver racing stripes, which have been feathered so they cannot be felt. The body is composed of hand-laid 3/16” laminate composite and panels made with vinylester resin. Driver and passenger doors with molded door liners and integral steel door frames. Besides an original-style, chrome-on-brass vintage windscreen, tinted with side bars and fasteners and DOT safety glass compliant, there are a pair of wind wings. The hood has a molded hood liner and separate hood scoop. The trunk has a molded trunk liner and improved mount face for license plate light. The body includes more than 40 laser cut, pre-formed 6061-T6 aluminum panels for cockpit, trunk and engine bay. Engine bay aluminum assembly has aluminum nose sections and splash guards. Underneath, there is a complete, jig-welded original style four-inch round-tube frame. Includes all mounts ready to accept small block Ford engines and 1987-2004 Mustang running gear. Backing this engine is a T-5 five-speed manual transmission and 3.73:1 gearing in a 8.8-inch rear end that has Traction-Lok. 4-in-1 headers flow from the exhaust manifolds to ceramic-coated side exit exhausts. Inside, there are a pair of Superformance Factory Five racing buckets done in black with Simpson racing harnesses and a driver’s side rollbar. The seats and black carpet are in excellent shape and reflect the low miles on the car. A three-spoke, 14-inch, woodgrain and aluminum steering wheel adds some warmth to the interior. The inner door panels are from Finish Line. The dash features an array of Auto Meter Pro Comp Ultralight gauges and there’s a Lokar emergency brake.
