THE LANCIA BETA ZAGATO SPYDER SPECIAL EDITION is equipped with a1,995cc fuel-injected 4-cylinder engine.

The exterior of the is BLACK in color and it has a BLACK interior. Please see photos for more detailed description of the vehicle and its overall condition.
The Lancia Beta Zagato provides one of the most enjoyable motoring experiences that you are ever likely to have in a front-wheel-drive car. They are a relatively rare find ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD.

The build process for the Beta Zagato Spyder was complex with hand built work. Lancia built the car, then Zagato converted a Beta Coupe into the Spyder. I was informed that the vehicles made the trip from the Lancia factory to Zagato and back four different times to complete the work. This beautiful little sports car gets plenty of attention wherever it goes. Zagato produced just 791 cars in part because of their high prices, and while that made them a fairly rare car. But get this; only 75 Special Edition were built. This is one of those cars, and it isn’t clear just how many survive today. It has received a repaint in its original Black at some point, and once included the gold pin stripes that you will see on many of the other Special Editions. I intended on adding the back but I sort of like the lower profile and clean black appearance. The vast majority of these autos share parts with their Beta Coupe sibling, so replacement parts are relatively easy to locate.

The general rule of thumb is that a black-on-black car will always look quite classy. The vehicle offers 2+2 seating. The interior presentation and condition are well above average for a Zagato, with the leather upholstery on the seats, along with the door trims and other upholstered surfaces looking extremely good. The dash is free of any real flaws, while the plastic is also in nice condition, and seems to have avoided the sort of deterioration that can plague these cars. This Spyder SE was factory fitted with air conditioning. In addition to the leather interior and the factory A/C, the vehicle also comes equipped with power windows.

THE INTERIOR IS BLACK WITH SOME WEAR BUT MUCH LESS THAN MOST OF THE EXAMPLES OF THESE CARS. THERE IS A DENT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE NEAR THE REAR WHEEL. THAT DENT WAS PRESENT WHEN WE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE. THE UNDERCARRIAGE AND FRAME IS VERY CLEAN AS THE COUNTY THAT THE VEHICLE SERVED IN IS QUITE ARID.

Vehicles not picked up within sixty(60) days of end of auction will be subject to a penalty of $10.00 PER DAY in storage fees, unless arrangements are made via documented correspondence through Ebay. (storage fees are not negotiable and must be paid prior to release of vehicle).
