Vintage1969 VW Baja Project Car w/1600cc Engine

1969 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic

This project car started life as a 1969 Volkswagen Cabriolet (convertible) and was modified with with fiberglass Baja front, a roll bar, a truck bed, and tube rear bumper into a Baja-style truck. The 1600 cc engine needs to be installed, but it turns freely. The fiber glass rear fenders and whale tail are included, but not installed yet. It looks rough but has tremendous potential to turn into something very sweet. I had plans of turning it into a kayak carrier, but never found the time to do the work on it, and now I need the space cleared out much more than another project.
The number on the complete1600cc engine is AE692468 and the number on the partially complete 1600cc engine (no cylinders) is AH335538. I will include the partially complete engine at no additional charge if the buyer wants it.

12/25/2018 I am adding the following information in response to a question from a prospective buyer:The bug and everything with it is in the condition it was when we bought it in 2010. It has been stored in our garage since then.
There are a total of 4 engines - one 1600 cc is the one we intended to install; one 1600 cc is for parts and it has the heads, but not the cylinders; one 1500 cc has a small hole in the crank case; and one 1500 cc looks like a candidate to rebuild.
The body pan has an undercoating, so it is difficult to examine from below. From the inside the body pan seems sound with the exception of a hole under where the battery would be.
We are not sure about the trans axle. All we can say is the car rolls and the brakes are not frozen. The front suspension is in good shape.
