1957 Dual Ghia Finish Project

This offering is for Dual Ghia #123 which, in the 90's, was part of the Frank Prittcollection that eventually became under the ownership of renown Dual Ghia guru Dr. Paul Sable.

I purchased #123 from Dr. Sable a few years ago to complete it as a “stable-mate” for my other Concours Dual Ghia #137.

I began the project with the thorough level of expertise of completing #137.

This example has a freshly rebuilt Dodge D500 hemi #D500-4617 (photo of number stamping is attached).

The Powerflite AT was rebuilt by Fatsco in New Jersey.

What is great about #123 is that the structurally critical inner rockers of thus Monocoque (Unibody) body are intact and therefore this car is structurally as it was built in Italy 60 years ago.

Most of the "normal" rust repairs have been completed. The remaining time is approximately 300 hours before painting.

Please note that a Dual Ghia that has not been properly restored can have serious structural issues. I have even seen some with steel box channel added to shore up rusted-out inner rockers.

The best way to know is to see the car in bare metal—as is #123.

Then you will be absolutely sure of its integrity.

The car and all of its parts is 99% complete.

All chrome, instruments, etc.

Included are the original door glass with the original Italian markings / etchings.

This car has the highly desired original wheel covers with already supplied with New, bright polished, Stainless Steel set of fins.

There are new tail and back up lenses as are license plate and parking lamps.
Some of the impossible to replace parts were re-casted in bronze by Dr. Sable.

We can install the motor and AT prior to delivery or pick up of the car. Both the car and motor/AT can be viewed in a day (in the Philadelphia, PA area).

A fully intact original wiring harness is available for the making of a new replacement. There is an East Coast wiring company that probably still has the plans that were utilized for my #137.

This car even has the impossible to find center dash Ash Tray!!

The interior front seat frames are new but all seats will need to be fabricated.

To that end, I can make my #137 available for all of the interior patters, etc. if needed.

The engine compartment is completed and painted in the "exact original shade of Green". All Dual Ghia engine compartments were painted the same color.

The front suspension components are all newly restored.

The Motor and A/T paint color is, as well, the exact matching Coral color, again, that all (correct) Dual Ghia motors and AT are all painted the same Coral color. I am told that is the color that Gene Casseroles car transporters were painted. I guess they must have had 55 gallon drums of the paint??

Included are new (not yet plated) exhaust tip extensions that are unique to the Dual Ghia. As is the rear license plate frame-a Dual Ghia hand made feature.

The Ghia Unique spare tire hold down clamp is also included.

I can send you the complete Excel listing of the components of this Dual Ghia and the condition of the parts and components.

The hemi motor and transmission are located in South New Jersey (Near Philadelphia) the body is located at a restoration shop near Dover Delaware.

I would consider having, as a partial payment, a 1959 Impala Convertible that is "done" and ready to tour and drive.

The Buy- It-Now price is extremely reasonable leaving much room below the $400K+ as compared to a freshly restored Dual Ghia.

Delivery within a day, or two drive from the Philadelphia area can be arranged.
