Lotus Super 7 Series 3 in restoration
1964 Other Makes Lotus 7 restoration stalled
Now at age 74, after many years of restoring old race cars, it's time to sell off mostour accumulated stock of part, and many of our cars.
This' Seven' is for sale elsewhere
and this listing may be cancelled at any time .
This is not an unfinished 'dream ' . This Seven was completed and driven for many years.
Several years ago, the owner began a full restoration, and the chassis was stripped to a bare metal frame, and then financial problems stalled completion. Sol, it then sat in storage for some time. Between the picture of it earlier, and the present, the seats, guagesand steering column have been 'lost', and with the intention of repowering it, the motor / transmission were sold. We acquired the car init'spresent state, and it is offered here, as an excellent opportunityto acquire one of these impressive cars ata a low price.
The car rolls easily on Kumho Ecsta 711 195 50 15 tires, andhas steering rack installed . Disc brakes in front and rear drums.
The outerbody panels were carefully removed, and the aluminum finish is very good, as is the louveredhood assembl, cowl, and windshield assembly. Picture may may the hood looked discolored, but it is NOT discolored . I will post another picture later
The Nose and fenders werepainted yellow, and should be repainted, but are in good condition. The grill is included.
Misc panels, including the interior, are included, and the pair of headlights isin great condition. Various misc. bit, including the pedals, are included as shown in the pictures
I think the rearmay beDatsun or Toyota, It has coilovers and a Panhard Bar, and the driveshaft is included.
Steering wheel is very nice, but no column, as noted earlier.
wheelbase is 93" track is 54", and overall width to outside of tires is 61 inches
The year " 1964 " is representative of the year of design,
I do not know the year of construction
Please look pictures over, carefully...,
if not shown, it is NOT with the car.

Please note that I do not know when this chassis was assembled. I am familiar with Lotus built 7's, that is my Series 1 car in the backround, and I do not believe thisframe was built Lotus, as they did not build these cars very long. I am not familiar with the later cars by Caterham, Westfield and others, and do not know what company made this.
