1917 Other Makes 1917 Woods Mobilette Sheridan Light Delivery

This is one of possibly the rarest cycle-car automobiles ever built and ONE of only two known to exist in the world today after almost 100 year since manufacture. The second one I also owned and restored (woodsmobilette period com). The other 1917 Woods Mobilette, Sheridan light Delivery is currently in a museum in NE. This auction is for the remaining one which was featured in a centerfold article in the 2005(1sr qtr.) issue of Automobile Quarterly. The article was written by the late lady of antique automobile history Beverly Rae Kimes. It is powered by its original Perkins 22hp engine which is hand cranked and magneto fired. The motor was completely re-machined, balance and all parts were either replaced or refurbished to new condition. The vehicle is beautifully restored and has only been driven at the most maybe ten miles since restored. Woods Mobilette made these little Deliveries as their last and most expensive vehicle before shutting down production in 1917. Since only two exist today this is the rarest Woods Mobilette model.
