1929 Other Makes 1929 Chrysler Dual Cowl Phaeton Model 75

Up for no reserve auction is an extremely rare and valuable vehicle. This 1929 Chrysler dual cowl phaeton is known in the Chrysler brochure as a town phaeton or sport phaeton, with its beautiful folding down windshields. Only 227 were built, and it is estimated that fewer than a dozen survive. This is a factory body, not a custom built body. In the second photo you will see a factory shot of this model of car in black and white. Notice the unique air vents or cowls on the front cowl on either side, and on both rear doors. These areunique to this model of car.

The model 75 is the mid range vehicle Chrysler built for 1929. It rides on a 129 inch wheelbase, and sports astraight 6engine of 248.9 cubic inches. The motor appearsoriginal to this car. The engine serial number is R-261834. An additional engine comes with the car. It is a slightly smaller six, a 1926 Chrysler model 65 engine, serial number P20 485626. The parts on these two motors do not interchange. This was purchased several years ago by a collector who shipped the car to his restorer located east of Williamsburg, Virginia, where the car is currently stored. The motor was pulled from the car, to begin a full restoration. Then the owner decided to restore other projects, and the car sits in the currently state, as shown in these photos, with the engine out of the car. Thus you are purchasing the car with the motor out.

The car is a super solid older restoration, that can be used and driven as is once the motor is re installed. Internal condition of the motor is unknown. Where can you find a classic era dual cowl phaeton in this condition, at this starting price! Any questions contact Robert Baucom where the car is stored, at ONE---7--5----7---8--6----9---9--9---1---2-----. This car is for sale locally, and we reserve the right to end the auction early.
