Purchased new as a personal vehicle, she was never used as a taxi cab.
GM V6 automatic.
Runs and drives great.
Interior has been redone, carpet and seats are like new.
Body is very nice, paint shines well. There is a small dime size bubble in the paint on the bottom front of the drivers door and another spot to the right of the fuel fill (Both pictured).
New tires, less than 600 miles on them, New Holley Carburetor, battery, shocks, brakes, belts and hoses. She is all ready to go.
GM V6 is a crate motor that the previous owner had installed.
The car has about 122k miles, the engine probably around 20k.
Car is solid, frame is good.She runs well and has been very dependable.
The radio is an aftermarket am/fm cd, it sounds okay, the door speakers are not hooked up though.
Fun car to drive, I've taken her to a couple of car shows, she gets more attention than the Camaro's and Corvettes that she's parked next to. Everyone wants to sit in the back seat and has a story that somehow involves a Checker cab. My original plan was to have her painted yellow and fitted to resemble a NY cab. I have a friend that runs a movie/commercial prop business in Miami, he wanted to do photo shoots with her once done, but the thought of possibly having people in my car that I didn't know, didn't really sit will with me.

The picture of her on the bridge was a fun, albeit futile attempt to mimic the intro to the TV show Taxi. Yes, I know she's the wrong color, and the bridge isn't anything like the Brooklyn bridge, but being in Florida, it's the best we could come up with! And it was a nice way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
