HERE IS SOME HISTORY OF THIS CLASSIC GEM
The Starfire was Oldsmobile's entry into the personal luxury market built on the Super Eighty-Eight's 123-inch wheelbase frame. The list of standard equipment included a more powerful V8, ydra-matic drive, ports console with shifter, achometer, ourtesy lamp package, wo-speed wipers, ower brakes, ower steering, rushed aluminum trim, ual exhausts and leather trim. Oldsmobile introduced the new Starfire in mid-1961. It was a high performance, igh style, uxury automobile that was true to the company's rich performance history and offered a host of distinctive features. The Starfire returned for 1962 to include a hardtop variant. Priced around $4,000, he Starfire Hardtop Coupe was equipped with all the features found in the Super Eight-Eight plus brushed aluminum side panels, sporty cockpit featuring bucket seats, eather upholstery, loor console and power-operated front seats. Power was from a 394 cubic-inch V-8 engine that offered 345 horsepower and 440 pound-feet of torque, ourtesy of a Rochester four-barrel carburetor, 0.5:1 compression, revised camshaft profile, n efficient combustion chamber design and a free-flowing dual exhaust system. This particular model comes complete with Four Seasons Air Conditioning, ower equipment including power drivers seat, actory tinted glass, onsole tachometer and reverb rear speaker.

IVE LOOKED OVER THE CAR AND DO SEE SOME SURFACE RUST AND PITTING I HAVE NOT SEEN ANY CANCER THAT HAS GONE ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE PANS. I ALSO HAVE NOT REMOVED THE CARPET TO SEE FLOOR PANS HOWEVER HAVE LOOKED FROM THE UNDER SIDE AND DO NOT SEE ANY VISABLE RUST ALL THE WAY THROUGH. ALSO TRUNK PAN IS SOLID.
THE TOP ON THE CAR AND THE INTERIOR NEED TO BE REDONE.
I WILL INCLUDE BRAND NEW WEATHER STRIPPING FOR THE CAR.
THIS CAR IS A GOOD SOILD PROJECT .
THE GLASS ON THE CAR IS IN GOOD SHAPE.
THIS IS A GOOD SOLID CAR AND WITH SOME WORK THIS BEAUTY WOULD BE A GREAT SUMMER CRUISING RIDE .
