Lots of recent work done, including NEW convertible top, NEW seat upholstery, NEWLY rebuilt engine, NEW Exhaust/mufflers, NEW brakes and a lot more. Over $6500 spent within the last year or two.Body on the car looks to have all original panels from what I can tell. It's pretty straight down the sides and shows well. Gaps are pretty good, doors open and close decently with no sag (right side have to close hard). Paint look presentable from a distance, like a 20 footer, but is older (at least 20 years old) and has a lot of imperfections/chips/scuffs/small dents etc. It really needs to be redone properly. Door jambs were resprayed amateurly in blue but not same shade, but passable. Hood has some cracking at the very front by the nose emblem and is bent there and chrome trim broken. Grilles also have various cracks in them. Front inner wheelhouses cracked, should be replaced. Some bondo here and there, mostly lower door corners, lower fenders and rear lower quarters. Overall owner did a lot of mechanical work and was getting to the body but ran out of time and money.Under the hood lies the stock Rocket 350 V8, supposedly freshly rebuilt by professional shop within the last year according to previous owner. Engine was upgraded with aluminum intake, Edelbrock 4bbl. carburetor, HEI ignition, coated headers into dual exhaust and perhaps a couple of minor internal upgrades. Starts right up and sounds good, with mild valve tap on driver's side and perhaps header collector gasket leak, both easy fixes. Transmission shifts good (leaks fluid if it sits for a while) and rear end is nice and solid. Brakes are very good and steering is nice and light without too much play in the wheel. Overall you can get in and DRIVE THIS CAR NOW with minimal tlc.Interior is original, other than NEWLY reupholstered seats front and back. Door panels, carpet, dash pad all have wear. NEW rubber floormats as well. Pretty original other than seats. Convertible top was recently done as well, rather amateurly but it does the job. Needs all the rubber weatherstripping around it replaced as it is missing.Underside has a VERY SOLID FRAME from the looks of it. Floors are in decent shape with some small patches and some small holes here and there if you look carefully but overall solid and will not fall apart, but should eventually be redone down the road. Trunk was amateurly patched and although solid, it also should be replaced down the road. A couple of the reinforcement braces for front fenders missing/broken and need replacing. Whole underneath was undercoated to prevent further rusting as shown in pics.Overall this is a PRESENTABLE DRIVER with GOOD OPTIONS, LOW MILES that RUNS & DRIVES WELL. You can hop in and drive the car now as you restore it down the road. Please keep in mind this is an old car and not everything works: Top works but is slow, some bulbs need replacing and electrical will need attention, horn and radio not working and i'm sure a couple of the gauges need work. Car will require a good amount of restoration down the line, so don't expect to come here and expect a show piece.
