1991 wagon great car. Everything works brand new carpet brand new shocks brand new brakes new fuel injectors ac works radio works windows works if you have questions text clean tittle. Interior condition 95% exterior condition 90% have done a lot of interior work pretty much restored it does have a sunroof miles about 160000. Front new suspension ($4,500). great gas mileag, does not smoke or burn oil. Have receipts and manuals for everything it’s got new tires Ignition and TBI rebuilt to include 90% of sensors daily driver trusted to go anywhere.
Yes, there is a spare tire jack and lug wrench. It is also a quiet car because there is a new muffler.
Disclaimer; this is an antique car so don’t expect perfection. The automatic transmission is in great shape, but it shifts late in first gear when cold after that it runs great. It was tuned by Amico for peak performance. The car rides like a Cadillac without being too over, pronounced because it has new shocks. The car has been on several multiple hundred mile trips with no incidents. The air conditioner does work but has a small leak and I will charge the AC prior to you taking it to prove and for your comfort. This is a 20 foot looker car meaning that the car needs to be painted or can be driven like it is as a daily driver for years and years. This is not a queen! – Is an excellent condition radio AC controls instrument cluster all of these have been replaced. stereo has new speakers and is an auto reverse AM/FM cassette. For this year. The car had an incredible amount of options, resulting in a modern car feel. The vehicle originally came with air suspension, auto leveling in the rear and has since been replaced shocks however, the original is still functional and can be used or converted back to the original or for an onboard air pump.
Please note that this wagon does not, is not an opti-spark ignition. This is the normal distributor that sits on top of the engine and the cap rotor wires and plugs have all been changed and the serpentine belt has also been changed. I mentioned the ignition because the newer ignition that sits behind the serpentine belt on the front of the engine in newer models and are very difficult to work with. This does not have that.
OVERVIEWOldsmobile gave its last remaining rear-drive model, the full-size Custom Cruiser station wagon, a swoopy new shape for 1991. It was the first major restyling since the model had been downsized, way back in 1977.
Chevrolet and Buick also restyled their wagons this year, and continued to offer sedans built on the same chassis. Olds, on the other hand, issued only the station wagon. Offered in a single trim level, the Custom Cruiser differed from the Buick Estate and Chevrolet Caprice wagons mainly in front/rear styling and instrument-panel design.
A new fuel-injected, Chevrolet-designed 5.0-liter V8 engine went beneath the hood, producing 170 horsepower and replacing the prior generation’s 140-horsepower carbureted V8. A 4-speed automatic was the sole transmission. Antilock brakes and a heavy-duty suspension were standard.
Like the related Buick Roadmaster Estate, the Custom Cruiser had a standard “vista roof,” which consisted of a fixed sunroof with dark tinted glass over the middle bench seat. Custom Cruisers also featured an adjustable roof luggage rack. The 2-way tailgate swung down or opened to the left, and its glass rear window flipped up separately.
Although the new wagon’s 115.9-inch wheelbase was the same as before, it measured 2.8 inches shorter overall, stretching to 217.5 inches. Oldsmobile claimed that the interior was roomier. With middle and rear seats folded, the cargo area could hold a 4×8-foot sheet of plywood–the usual measure for such spaces.
A driver’s airbag was standard in the redesigned interior, mounted in a tilt steering wheel. Eight-passenger seating was standard, with 3-place front and middle seats plus a 2-place third-row bench.

I have a little over 200,000 miles on it. It is in beautiful condition - people comment on how nice it looks all the time and they can't believe how old it is! Most of the time this car is trouble-free, but, when things do go wrong, I fix them because I do not want to part with this car. One thing I really loveis the fact that the turn signals have that automatic warning to let you know if you leave your turn signals on and drive for more than a mile - then they start dinging at you! Though chassis underpinnings saw only minor updates, substantial updates were made to the body and interior. As part of the redesign, the Custom Cruiser received functional upgrades including anti-lock brakes and a driver-side airbag (replacing the door-mounted passive-restraint seatbelts).
The Custom Cruiser was joined by a redesigned Chevrolet Caprice wagon, with the Buick Estate renamed as theBuick Roadmaster(Pontiac retired the Safari after 1989). In contrast to Chevrolet and Buick, Oldsmobile was the only GM division to market the full-size B-body exclusively as a station wagon (with theOldsmobile Ninety-Eightserving as its largest sedan). For 1992, sales of the model line declined over 40 percent, leading the division to discontinue the model line for 1993 in favor of concentrating resources towards theBravadaSUV andSilhouetteminivan.
On June 5, 1992, Oldsmobile produced the final Custom Cruiser station wagon; it would be the final Oldsmobile-brand vehicle produced with a V8 engine and rear-wheel drive. The Custom Cruiser was also the final Oldsmobile produced exclusively with a 3-passenger front bench seat; with the sole exception of the Cutlass Ciera/Cutlass Cruiser, all subsequent vehicles produced by the division were offered with 2-passenger front seating as standard or as an option.
