1955 Oldsmobile Super 88
1955 Oldsmobile ‘88 4 door sedan with correct 324 V8 Olds and 4bbl carb with just 43k original miles. No rot on the inner or outer rockers, tail pan or floor boards. Minor surface rust only. Typical rust spots on these GM cars of the 50's are in great shape as seen in pictures. Stored since 1987 and just came out of hibernation. Even comes with the newspaper that was put with the car in 1987 when it was stored. As nice of an original as you can find.
Everything works including auto trans, lights, dome lights, trunk light. Only thing I know that doesn’t work is the vacuum wiper motor. Nothing to hide on this old girl. Has a different radiator but the original is in the trunk if you want to have it recored. Even has the original spare tire and jack. The trunk has the factory cardboard on the inside of both sides of the trunk walls. Original seats are in it and could use new upholstery or throw a blanket on them and drive as is. Headliner is intact with typical discoloration as well. It’s basically a time capsule that can be enjoyed as-is.
Has been driven 60mph recently but I would advise going through brakes, tires, gas etc first. Runs very smoothly and quietly. Had a repaint on the exterior likely 60’s or 70’s but everything else appears to be all original. Just can't find originals in this type of condition anymore.
