Classic 1966 Oldsmobile 98 Ninety-Eight Convertible Base

THE ULTIMATE AMERICAN PERSONAL LUXURY SEDAN FOR 1966. Partial frame off restoration. Excellent chrome and soft trim throughout. All new body bushings, frame, floor pans and suspension components. Completely rebuilt original 425 cubic inch Starfire V8 engine with new Edelbrock Performance 750 CFM 4BBL carb. This Starfire engine was an upgrade option producing 375 HP, 470 ft lbs of torque, with a 10.5:1 Compression Ratio. New Power steering pump and brakes with new dual master cylinder. Power Locks, Power Windows, even Power Vent Windows. All six window motors are new. Six way power seat. AM/FM radio with reverb with front and rear speakers. Completely new interior using exact specifications from original Salesman's Catalog. Vinyl Pearl white interior with sound deadening pad put under the newly installed black carpet. New Convertible top and motor with glass window that raises and lowers without effort at the touch of a switch. Gas tank has been refurbished and all the weather stripping has been replaced. All brake and fuel lines have been replaced as well. New fuel pump, alternator, fuel sending unit. Everything underneath has been replaced. Original 14 inch wheels, covers and tires have been upgraded to 15 inch wheels, covers and new tires, which greatly improved the ride. The list goes on and on, there have been so many things done to this vehicle there are too many to list. Rust still exists under doors and under trunk lip. However, this is an otherwise solid car that gets a lot of attention.

There were only about 4,500 of these built in Lansing Michigan and not many left especially in this condition. This is an exceptional car and is certainly one of the few left. Since partial restoration, car has been appraised at $125,000.00. With over $140,000.00 in work done to the vehicle, it makes it a one of a kind classic vehicle in superb condition.

There are a few chips / imperfections in the paint and one of the chrome door sills is dented, gas gauge is inaccurate, but she is still a beautiful car.
