Description:

1983 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser Wagon

For sale is my 2 Owner 1983 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser Station Wagon.

The car runs and drives great. It has a brand new battery as of 1/26/24. The car was garage kept until 3 years ago. I have owned the car since 2013 having purchased it from the Estate of the Original owner who purchased it new in the summer of 1983. In that time I put around 6200 miles on the car. The car has full power everything including front seats. The car has optioned vinyl seats. With divided seats up front. All windows including rear work as they should including the rear defroster. The climate control system works great including air conditioner. Both front power seats work as does the radio fm/am. The antenna motor has been disconnected so the antenna stays upright. The clock doesn’t not work as the minutes have stopped moving but the seconds work. All exterior and interior lights work including the dimmer and timer on the headlight.

The car has the original Oldsmobile 307 V8 5.0 Liter Gas Engine. It gets very good gas mileage 17 mpg in town and 22-25mpg on highway.

This is a 6 passenger wagon with no third seat, but instead with a locking compartment. The original spare I believe is still in the case on the side. Aside from failing headliner, the interior is in very good shape with no tears, few stains, nice carpeting in front and rear and trim.

Exterior the paint is faded but intact for the most part except on the sides near door handles. The wood trim is flaking off in spots. Two wheels are missing emblems and the bumper fillers need replacement. There is minor rust present on the rear trim below where fillers have failed. Some rust on chrome and metal trim around the wheel wells. The inside of the wells and undercarriage are clean and solid. This car was washed well & never driven in the winter.

Window rubber gaskets may need replacing especially in the rear which recently starting leaking in the past two years. The wagon has no roof rack but does have the rear chrome spoiler.

Included with the sale of the car is the original manual, paperwork, any maintenance receipts I have, original registration form, GM warranty card and any paperwork pertaining to the car over the years.

As far as maintenance below is a list of when and what was replaced:

Last Inspection and oil change: 5/2022

New muffler & Heat Shield: 5/2021

12/2019-replacement of all brake lines

5/2017-Front tires plus air conditioner recharge

5/2016-Rear Tires & Radiator

7/2013-replacement of all rubber seals in engine that were leaking and general tune up

What needs to be done:

Full Headliner is coming down as foam underneath has dry rotted.

Replacement of Rear Bumper Fillers and side front bumper fillers.

Treatment of surface rust on edges and trim work.

Restoration of the wood grain and paint combo.

Replacement of some window rubber gaskets

The car needs to be driven and enjoyed. I have enjoyed this car for over a decade and it’s sad to see it go. Hoping the new buyer will drive and enjoy it as much as I have.
