1964 Oldsmobile Starfire

For sale or trade. Top of the line Olds for 64'. Introduced as part of a new breed of automobiles, the personal luxury car market. Oldsmobile took it a step further by adding some sport and muscle to the Starfire. Only available in 2 door hardtop and 2 door convertibles. Still equipped with the original 350 hp high compression (big block) 394 cubic inch V8. A four-barrel carburetor, real leather bucket seats with a console mounted shifter and a built-in tachometer.
A turnkey, cruiser with some cosmetic defects. An older restoration with good, operable components. I'd guess this car was painted 20 or 30 years ago. The paint is older and shows some wear. Small scratches and chips. Some minor touch ups. The body itself is and always appears to have been VERY solid. The undercarriage and frame are SUPER clean.
The interior of this car is what really shines. It's virtually spotless with beautiful and original leather bucket seats. Perfect door and side panels and a nice headliner and dashboard. The carpet is a correct period replacement with the built in floor mats which is model accurate. Has power steering, power brakes, no factory AC. Have some receipts for recent work including original window sticker and sales invoice from 1964.
Mechanically you have nothing to worry about. A fresh tune-up and oil change. A newly rebuilt carburetor. Newer rear springs and shocks all around. Full brake service. Stops quick and even. Brand new tires. Previous owner advised they had the transmission rebuilt a few years ago but I can't verify it. Brand new battery from Interstate, purchased in December 2023. Aftermarket temp gauge as well instead of indicator light. All gauges, radio, and original vacuum wipers work. This car starts right up, drives and runs fantastically. Lots of power.
