1967 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme 442
One Owner prior to my purchase last year! Drive as is or restore. Needs repairs to rear quarters and trunk pan that were done in the late 90's to be corrected. New Sheet Metal Repair Panels are included!
The car absolutely speaks for itself. There are no questions as to condition, actual miles or past repairs because the Original Owner kept nearly every Original Invoice for work done to the car during the past 57 years! One of the best basis for a restoration that there could be! These are included and serve to document mileage throughout the years. The Original Engine was rebuilt twice, the last time in September 1994 with 183,480 miles and only driven about 6,000 miles since and runs very strong.
A leak around the rear window caused water to sit in the trunk resulting in rust on the trunk floor and the lower wells of the quarter panels. The trunk floor and lower quarters were repaired incorrectly in the late 1990's and need to be repaired correctly with sheet metal replacement panels that are included. There is a very small area of rust repair on the bottom of the front left fender and no where else anywhere. In 1991, a basketball pole damaged the front left fender. Nearly all of the paint on the remainder of the body is original. In 1996, steel was welded to the frame at the front left side to resolve rust that had begun to form in that area. Air Shocks were installed in 1984. The car was not optioned with Power Brakes yet the brakes were converted to Power in 1993. The Interior, with the exception of the seat covers is totally original and in beautiful original condition. The seats had been professionally reupholstered with a black velour that has now faded to red. While very clean and in good condition, a new set of Correct Factory Reproduction Seat Covers was ordered in July from Legendary Auto Interiors. They have been on back-order and are expected to arrive in February. I have already paid for them, about $1,100. They are not included but are available for what I paid for them. If the car is sold prior to receiving them and the purchaser does not want them, my intention is to cancel the order to receive a refund. If the car does not sell prior to receiving them, my intention is to either add the cost to the purchase price or simply keep the car and complete it's restoration. The car runs very well. Correct Reproduction Oldsmobile Rally Wheels and new BF Goodrich Tires were installed this past August and have literally a few miles on them. The Original Factory Special 442 Steel Wheels, Factory Simulated Wire Wheel Covers and Spare Tire are included.
