1965 Oldsmobile 442 W-29 True 442 two-owner car (one-family owned for 58 years since purchased new). Runs and drives great. Matching numbers. No known mechanical issues. Needs rust repair. Excellent restoration candidate. All original 100% numbers-matching 1965 Olds Cutlass F-85 Holiday Coupe with 4-4-2 performance package option. Purchased new in March of 1965 in Monroe, Wisconsin and kept in the same family for 58 years. The car has the original dealer invoice, all original sales information, sales brochures, owners manuals, original 1965 title/registration, broadcast tag, matching factory warranty protecto-plate documentation and window sticker. Fairly rare car (1 of only 6,391) automatic holiday coupes made in 1965 with the L78 345HP 400CID, 4BBL, Dual exhaust, 4-4-2 performance package. Believed to be 62K original miles. This car still retains all the correct tags, plates, and stamps (4V body tag code for Lansing, MI and Fisher Body plant 442 trim package), correct casting #389298-B block and “V” stamped engine unit number 400 V8 with the correct “A” casting heads (10.25:1 comp ratio) and optional M-32 super-turbine ST300 “Jetaway” special-duty two-speed automatic transmission. The body tag and dealer invoice indicates correct accessory codes for the following optional equipment (tinted windshield, retractable front deluxe seatbelts, black vinyl bucket seats, center sport console (with functional OEM tach and chrome Hurst automatic shift lever), specific 442 W-29 moldings and trim, and Target Red magic-mirror exterior finish with black vinyl deluxe interior. Car comes equipped with the following standard factory base options: floor carpeting, front and rear foam padded seat cushions, instrument panel safety padding, chrome roof drip moldings, driver side outside rear view mirror, ashtray lamp, and custom deluxe sport steering wheel.
