1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 Convertible 455 c.i. Turbo 400

Description: 1970 Oldsmobile 442 convertible in its original Titanium silver with a blue top and matching blue vinyl interior. the numbers matching 455 cubic inch Olds V-8 rated at a conservative 365 h.p. and 500 #ft. of torque. This 442 came with a Turbo 400 automatic transmission, power steering, and power brakes.

Total original mileage is just over 56,000 and it is a matching numbers car except for the rear differential which was swapped from a 1970 Olds 442 W-30 with 3.42:1 posi-traction gears.

The present owner purchased the car in 1995 when it had just over 52,000 miles on it. The car has been garage kept since then and has had the following work performed:

Rebuild of the 455 c.i. Olds engine including some head work, Pertronics ignition, and Jet Hot coated headers.

New gas tank and fuel lines.

The original Turbo 400 was also rebuilt and still retains the original Hurst Dual-Gate console shifter.

New brake calipers, master cylinder, and booster.

Suspension parts were replaced including shocks, bushings, and wheel bearings.

In the interior the seats may have been redone, but the door panels are original. New seatbelts were added in the front and back. All factory gauges function, dash lights work, but the clock does not.

All of the wiring appears original and everything works including the exterior lights and turn signals, power top, and interior lights. The only exception is the clock, which is not functioning. Although not installed, but included are the wiper motor, fan shroud, an over-sized radiator, and a power antenna.

The paint, body, and top are as they were when the owner purchased the car. The top is believed to be original, but the exterior has been repainted once. Please view all pictures carefully and feel free to ask questions. There is evidence of bodywork and exterior rust. Floor pans and frame appear solid.
