Running Condition

This beautiful 61 olds is equipped with its original 394 6.5L engine and fires up every time without hesitation. The 3-Speed automatic transmission shifts into all gears up & down. The oil & filter have recently been serviced with Zinc Oil & zinc approved filter. The motor is very healthy, no knocks, squeaks, or smoking from this engine. The valve cover gaskets have been replaced and the rocker arms, valves, and seats appeared to be in good condition. The 2BBL Rochester Carburetor has been tanked, and rebuilt with a limited warranty. The fuel tank, fuel filters, Spark plugs, Distributor wires, & air cleaner filter have also been replaced for maximum efficiency. The original orifice tube has not been converted to a PCV to keep originality.This vehicle is equipped with working factory power steering.

Paint & Body

The body & panels on the bubble top are in really good shape considering the age. The vehicle has all new weatherstripping seals sealing tightly as they should. The hinges on both the hood & Trunk are in very good shape. Neither door sags and has very consistent measurements for the body lines & gaps. The vehicle was repainted during the restoration to the two tone paint job presented. Both driver and passenger side pans were repaired during the restoration.

Interior

The interior was revamped to mimic the original design the vehicle came with from the factory. There is no rattling from any components within the vehicle. The summer ventilation vents do work as they should. Speedometer & Odometer both work as they should with a color changing speed indicator! The steering wheel will need some mild restoration but does have both working horn buttons.

Glass & Chrome

All of the chrome moldings are original to the car. The windshield has been replaced due to unsafe visibility through the original glass that unfortunately could not be restored. Both front & rear glass have new factory correct rubber moldings passing ‘the paper test’ ensuring there is no sagging or leaking around the glass. Brand new & restored original chrome molding clips were properly installed prior to the reinstall of the glass front and rear. The windshield and rear glass moldings are decent but not perfect. The rest of the chrome on the car shines nicely. Both quarter glass windows have new weather stripping and greased regulators working as they should.

Wheels & Tires

Brand New 18” Staggered Rocket Wheels with optional Billet Aluminum Knock-Off Centers. These wheels compliment the vehicle very nicely with 245/45 tires that do not interfere with full lock steering in any way. The ride is very smooth & quiet with these wheels. Due to the shortened wheel height the speedometer reads higher than actual speed.
