1992 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser

This 1992 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser Wagon was acquired by the seller in December 2020 and subsequently modified with installation of a 4L80E four-speed automatic transmission to effectively put the power from the Ram Jet 502 to the ground. The car is finished in sinister black with silver racing stripes over upgraded Camel leather and vinyl upholstery. Equipment includes a Vista Roof, automatic climate control, a Sony stereo with 2 12” subwoofers, fold-down third-row seating, power steering, a dual exhaust system, a limited-slip differential, and 18″ Torque Thrust wheels. This Custom Cruiser is offered with manufacturer’s literature, partial service records, spare parts, and a clean Indiana title in the seller’s name. The dash shows 166,066 miles, but the odometer was disconnected less than 500 miles ago when the Holley EFI Transmission Control Unit was installed. The whole build has less than 9,000 miles on it.

The car is finished in Black with Silver Racing stripes and tinted windows. Additional exterior details include a Vista Roof and a rear window wiper. There are some minor imperfections to the outside of the car, to include a small ding in the passenger side front fender, and a small cosmetic bend in the wheel on the same side.

Chrome 18” Torque Thrust Wheels are mounted with 245/40r18 Nitto NT05’s in the front, and 285/40r18 Nitto NT05R’s in the rear. The car features power steering, and an Addco Sway bar, while braking is handled by upgraded Baer front discs and the rear drums were replaced with discs. The seller notes that the ABS light has come on intermittently, but the brakes have worked well.

The cabin features three rows of bench seating upholstered in upgraded Camel leather with black piping accompanied by a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpets. The Sony stereo features an equalizer and sends signal to a hidden JBL amplifier in the spare tire well, and onto two 12” JBL subwoofers resting in the rear footwell. Additional amenities include automatic climate control as well as power windows, mirrors, and door locks. The power windows and locks are not at 100% functionality. The air conditioning system blows cold. The seller notes that the cruise control is not functioning, and the speed is shown by a Holley EFI screen mounted to the dash.

The cargo area is accessed via a dual-hinged tailgate and features a rear-facing fold-down bench seat.

The 502 cubic inch V8 was factory rated at 502 horsepower and 565 lb-ft of torque. The engine was installed in September 2006 with a custom cold air intake that pulls air from the two foglight holes on the Stillen front bumper.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 4L80E four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential.

Manufacturer’s literature is included in the sale along with a copy of the window sticker and partial service records, along with spare and uninstalled parts.
