This 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass Calais is powered by the Original 350 and has been modified with a high lobe W-30 cam as well as an Edelbrock high rise manifold and carb. It now produces around 250 hp. This V8 Gasoline Engine is paired with a 3-Speed Automatic Transmission. This Cutlass has a Black Exterior with a Black Interior. This Coupe has been garage kept and non-smoking.

It has a TH350 with the Hurst dual gate shifter. It has the original 2.73 Posi traction gears with the original aluminum rear drums. The interior has been replaced.

June 2020 New aluminum radiator, 180 thermostat and coolant flush

June 2020 new U-Joints

June 2020 Transmission rebuilt and new torque converter installed.

Sept 2020 Attempted to have a/c serviced…found out the compressor was shot…replaced. Installed Edelbrock idle compensator on carb to avoid stalling under high load at idle.

Had oil leak repaired.

Found a better set of the stock Hurst wheels and replaced them as well as 1 front tierod.

Nov 2020 to Jan 2021 – Car painted…it is not painted in the 79 Hurst scheme which would bea gold nose, gold hood, ½ gold roof and gold sail panels. It is not painted in its original Black onyx…it was painted S2-25 Jet Black (House of Kolor) with hand painted single stage gold lacquer striping and wheels. Replaced all the badging as well as the VERY hard to find hood ornament.

The dash bezel has a few cracks in it, so I purchased a dash cover.

Feb 2021 –Received many parts over the winter from Oldsmobile guys and replaced or upgraded the following:

Weather stripping around cowl

Correct windshield washer squirters

Correct shifter handle

Detailed the trunk compartment with correct mat, jack assembly and wheel well cover.

Replaced dash gauge circuit board and tac as well as new LED dash lights.

Replaced the radio and speakers.

Replaced the air cleaner.

Replaced master cylinder.

June 2022 Replaced Power Brake Booster

Replaced Battery

March 2021 –The car came with headers, a 3” exhaust and flow-master 40’s. The drone of the f40’s was way too much so I replaced the f 40’s with f 50’s.

July 2021 –The fan would not operate on its high setting…as I was unsure of the culprit replaced the blower motor and blower motor reply.

Replaced a/c orifice.

I have the original air cleaner, stock exhaust manifolds, the radio that came with the car which is out of a 1988 Olds 98 as well as a box of misc. parts. I also have a car cover.
