1988 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Classic
This is the cool cruiser that's likely going get you some survivor awards. After all, when was the last time you saw a 1988 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme coupe in such a nice and preserved condition? With its correct V8 power, plush interior, believed low original mileage, and all-around well-preserved presentation, this is a time capsule on wheels. The unique design lines made these Cutlass coupes quite popular when new. So you probably have a story or two that come to mind the moment you see that bright dual waterfall grille come into view. But the reason why you're especially attracted to this one is because you just don't see them in this kind of well-preserved condition anymore. The factory medium gray metallic is a great color for the era, and it still retains the nice shine of a well-respected classic. It goes perfectly with the tastefully classy elements like the full ornamentation (even on the taillights,) mirror-like bumpers, and color-matched Super Stock wheels. Plus, the gray landau vinyl roof is a true classic American luxury touch that looks terrific here. And this would be the last we'd see of them. You may have noticed the addition "Classic" badging on this car. It was only on the 1988 models - this iconic generation's final year.
The full-length exterior pinstripe in a lighter gray is a preview of the full gray interior. Everything remains in exceptional conditioning on this two-owner vehicle that has barely averaged over 1,100 miles annually. So that plush velour still has the velvet-like touch you remember. Plus, all the wood-like trim on the dash provides extra distinction. This can seat up to six, but fold down the front armrest, and it provides you with individual luxury. And because was designed to eat away the miles in comfort, there are great features like power windows, power locks, cruise control, electric rear defogger, a tilt steering column, and the factory AM/FM cassette stereo. You'll be hard-pressed to see any upgrades, and in fact, we only know of two. The headliner is new (GM fans know this is a very good thing.) And the air conditioning has been upgraded to R134a, so it's likely just a quick recharge from blowing nice and cold.
Open the hood for more originality. This is presented in the kind of time capsule quality where you still even have the factory decals. So it's not hard to believe when this is claimed to be the original motor. This one is an absolute cruiser, but there's also some performance pedigree in there, too. You're looking at a 307 cubic-inch Olds V8. It's rugged and torquey construction makes it desirable, and the four-barrel carburetor lets it inhale deeply (remember the 442 package utilized a similar setup.) For those times when you're just cruising, you'll appreciate features like a power steering, power brakes w/discs up front, and four-speed automatic transmission w/highway-friendly overdrive.
Complete with the owner's manual packet, this is an exceptional example of a survivor, and now it just needs the right caretaker to continue its preserved legacy. Will it be you? Call today!!!
