1957 Oldsmobile Fiesta Wagon
1957 Oldsmobile Fiesta
1957 Oldsmobile Fiesta. Condition is "Used". but Beautiful ))I have had this car for 10 years, It had been sitting in a garage here in Minnesota for 40 years, Yes since 1970. So not been licensed in 50 years. There is no title- Bill of Sale Only- This car has all options, a/c, power windows- working now, power seat- have not looked into getting it working, roof rack, power brakes, eye on dash for dimming headlights, J2 3 carb performance option, power antenna etc. When I got it I rebuilt the center carb, changed points & plugs wires, oil & filter, Cleaned the gas tank [which was actually not bad] added electric fuel pump for test driving before getting into the stock fuel/vacuum pump. Brake wheel cylinders were just corroded dust so new wheel cylinders and master cylinder. Did Not rebuild the brake booster- may need -your choice- works without power unit functioning- [it is still installed] changed transmission fluid. Car started and ran good after a few minutes and some adjustment. Did have slight rod noise when revved up. So I drove it on a few test drives- very good driving- lots of fun )) did not want to push it due to the rod noise. Drove it to and from storage a few times as work permitted. Last time going on a trailer to storage the rod bearing spun and now knocks, I did not drive it again. That was 6 years ago. I have decided to give her up due to life changes, lack of time etc. This is a great car and solid as a rock, whoever gets it will be Very Happy )) This car is from California originally and still has CA black & gold plates, So No rust through at all, NONE, all nuts & bolts come loose with ease, There are dents & scratches etc. of course, interior quite nice and not torn or butchere, does not stink like a barn or rodents, just old & dusty. The left front is dented and the LR has a dent, see photos, I have extra hood, extra Front and Rear bumpers, all 4 Original hub caps, I got many spare parts when I found it, Since rod knock incident I have sourced parts for the spare engine, Engine not assembled, Fresh heads, fresh ground crankshaft and matching bearings, block boiled and new frost plugs-- block is .030 over and pistons are in a box, new box of piston rings, Engine gasket set, other spare engine parts. The only missing part as far as I can remember is the air cleaner housing, [ I never had one ] This car was drivin, shifting, stopping before the rod knock so Yes it is functional and just needs your time and efforts. I will accept cash only in person and you must arrange shipping etc. Remember spare engine and bumpers, hood etc. I will help as much as i can with logistics, loading etc. Ebay site is not cooperating with photos and some have disappeared . I will try to remedy this. Please try to keep any questions relevant to car and its condition etc.On Nov-09-20 at 17:14:10 PST, seller added the following information:
Hello All. I wanted to give an update on the photo problem. It seems that most people can Not see the main photo and half of the others? I loaded the main photo and 24 others [the limit] but something happened in ebays process and the ad photos were damaged and the fact that there was a bid right away They do not allow photo changes. I have spoken to ebays experts several times and there is nothing they can do after bidding has started. I am allowed to write more here at least ))They did suggest that Chrome is the best way to view their stuff and the new microsoft edge may be an issue also? So I suggest trying different browsers and with any luck that will help.I can send others through this site so if you need something relevant then let me know. Thanks everyone for your patience and Good Luck 11/09/2020 7:15 p.m. central time
