1970 Oldsmobile 442 Convertible "Survivor Car"

Price: - Item location: Peoria, Arizona, United States
Description:

1970 Oldsmobile 442

Up for auction is a very nice and ORIGINAL NUMBERS MATCHING 70 Oldsmobile 442 Convertible. This car is a survivor with the exception of a few partial resprays over the years. The VIN and Data Plate verify its authenticity. It was born 10/27/1969 in the Lansing Michigan plant. Body number 247446, nterior trim 999, xterior paint #63 lower and B upper. The paint on the car is in good condition for its age but could benefit from a nice paint job.
This car drives like a NEW car. The odometer shows just over 24,000 miles and we believe it to be accurate, t drives like a new car. We were told by the owner since 93 that he purchased the car with around 22,000 original miles on it and put around 1000 miles on it before parking it inside thecar dealership that his family owned until 2015.
I could not find the build sheet anywhere but through research from several state DMV offices, tracked the two owners back to around the mid 70's. It spent the majority of its life in Nebraska and prior to that, t was a dealer owned car in Pennsylvania. I do have the original trim tab paper but not the build sheet.
This is a numbers matching car right down to the engine. I have attached a pic of the engine block casting ID number but it is difficult to see, ut the vin is stamped. It has the proper Quadrajet carbuerator as well.
Everything in the car works as it should except for the AM radio. We also have an original AM/FM radio that will come with the car. The power top works perfectly and it has a newer top on it.
This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION!! This is a great opportunity to own a piece of history! This would make a great everyday driver as it is, r is a great restoration project. There are a few minor rust spots along the front doors near the frame rails and the metal dash that intersects with the windshield is rusted out. We have looked into getting these fixed but I decided to sell it as is in it's survivor condition. The windshield also appears to be the original glass!
Feel free to email, all or text (602)697-6462. I do reserve the right to end the auction at anytime as it is listed elsewhere.
